Shengsi mussel. Shengsi mussel is a special product of Shengsi County, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, and a landmark product of chinese national geography. It is one of the top ten seafood products in China and a famous seafood specialty in Zhejiang Province. Shengsi mussel is called "mussel" in Zhoushan dialect, also called Haihong (Mrs. Donghai), red clam and shellfish. Shengsi County Shengsi County has superior sea environment, fertile water quality, rich bait and moderate temperature, which is conducive to the habitat of marine life and provides an excellent growth environment for Shengsi mussels.
