Massage is based on the theory of zang-fu organs and meridians of traditional Chinese medicine, combined with the anatomy and pathological diagnosis of western medicine, and acts on specific parts of human body surface by manipulation to adjust the physiological and pathological state of the body to achieve the purpose of physical therapy. In nature, it is a physical therapy. From the treatment of massage, it can be divided into health massage, sports massage and medical massage. According to China's historical records, famous doctors in the pre-Qin period used massage therapy to treat the syncope of Prince Guo's body. It has been more than 2,000 years since the Qin Dynasty, so massage has a long history in China. China's earliest massage monograph, The Yellow Emperor's Massage Sutra (ten volumes, see Hanshu Yiwenzhi), has long been lost. However, the existing classic medical book Huangdi Neijing talks about massage in many places, such as "the formation of qi and blood" and "different methods, appropriate treatment". Massage therapy has long been used in ancient times to treat numbness, flaccidity, syncope, dampness and cold and heat of limbs.
