Long summer porridge is a traditional Han snack in Leiyang, Hunan. Folk food, which belongs to the long summer solar terms, has long been a must for Leiyang diet. According to historical records, the custom of cooking long summer porridge began in Leiyang, Hunan Province in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.
