What does the unitary holistic view of TCM mean?
The so-called holistic view is the unity and integrity of the human body and the overall understanding of the relationship between man and nature. It is generally believed that the human body and the external environment are a unified organic whole, and the human body itself is the epitome of this huge system (that is, the personal world) and a unified organic whole. Therefore, the holistic view of traditional Chinese medicine includes two aspects: first, we think that the human body itself is an organic whole, so we can understand and study the physiology, pathology and diagnosis and treatment of diseases from this angle. Second, it is believed that man and the natural world (that is, the external environment) also maintain a unified overall relationship.
