Going home in rainy days is another popular custom in western Sichuan. On the rainy day, the married daughter went back to visit her parents with gifts. Women who have given birth to children must bring gifts such as canned meat and chairs to thank their parents for their kindness. For women who are not pregnant for a long time, their mother will sew a pair of red trousers for them to wear next to their bodies. It is said that this will enable them to get pregnant and have children as soon as possible. This custom is still popular in the countryside.
