Li Chengyu was a female Taoist priest in Guangxu period. She was called "Aunt White" and lived the longest. Li Chengyu didn't die until 2003, but before she died, she only said three words, which can infer the secret of her long life. Li Chengyu was born in Guangxu, but he lived for a whole century. In fact, her background is not very good, and everyone knows that ancient women's status is not high.
Li Chengyu was sent out as a child bride. She had to do all the dirty work every day, and finally she got tuberculosis. Later, an expert saved her, and Li Chengyu was very grateful to the expert, so she willingly joined the Taoist temple of the expert and became a female Taoist, in order to repay the kindness of the expert by fasting and chanting Buddha every day.
Li Chengyu is very serious about basic necessities of life, or meditation and monasticism. For decades, she devoted herself to monasticism and did everything herself. Later, because of an accident, although her leg was accidentally injured, it did not delay her practice, and even practiced Wudang stick technique to perfection.
Li Chengyu combs her hair with a wooden comb every day. Many people don't understand. What does this have to do with longevity? From the point of view of Chinese medicine, combing her hair often helps to dredge blood vessels, so she should live a long life in this way. On her deathbed, Li Chengyu asked her apprentice to help her get dressed and scrub clean. Her face was in a calm state, and she read the last scripture before she died. Before leaving, she wrote three words: I will leave, 1 18 years old.
This is the best destination for her hundred years of practice, and Wudang Mountain has become a holy place for practice because of the persistence and practice of people like Li Chengyu. They want nothing, are not disturbed by the secular world, only seek peace of mind, and spend their lives interpreting the true meaning of Taoism.
