Photosynthetic bacteria are a kind of microorganisms that use light as energy source, carbon dioxide or small molecular organic matter as carbon source and hydrogen sulfide as hydrogen donor, and are completely autotrophic or photoheterotrophic but do not produce oxygen. It can purify water quality, can be used as direct or indirect bait for aquatic animals, can be used as additives and prevent some diseases, and is beneficial to various aquatic animals, especially in improving the survival rate of fry. When used in adult fish, it can play a role in fattening, increasing production and reducing feed coefficient. In this paper, the conventional dosage and matters needing attention of photosynthetic bacteria in aquaculture were reviewed.

First, the dosage is applied routinely.

1, seedling dosage: per square meter 100ml, once every 10 day.

2. Fattening of adult fish: 7 kg/mu for the first time, 2 hours after quicklime, diluted with water and spread evenly in the whole pond, 4-5 kg/mu every two months. The bacterial liquid can also be absorbed by zeolite powder or mixed with fine soil and sprinkled into the pool.

3. Medicinal bath for fry or sick fish: dilute photosynthetic bacteria by 10 times and soak fry or sick fish for 15 minutes.

4. Mixed bait feeding: 5% liquid is used for fry bait and 3% liquid is used for adult bait, which is now mixed feeding.

Second, matters needing attention

1. The suitable water temperature for photosynthetic bacteria is 15℃ ~ 40℃, and the optimum water temperature is 28℃ ~ 36℃, which should be used above 20℃. Be careful not to use it in rainy days.

2, photosynthetic bacteria liquid can't be stored in metal utensils. Because many metal ions can inhibit its growth.

3. Avoid mixing with disinfectant. It must be disinfected with water for 3 ~ 7 days before use.

4. When cultivating fry, the fry should be spread in the whole pond for 7 days after entering tang qian to cultivate palatable plankton.

5. The dosage and continuity of use should be grasped flexibly, because photosynthetic bacteria can play their greatest role only when they form dominant groups in water.

6. The application effect is the best when the water body is alkaline. Quicklime or caustic soda should be used to adjust the pH value to neutral or alkaline level.

7. The effect of combined fertilization is better. When applying manure or chemical fertilizer in ponds, the application of photosynthetic bacteria can avoid the shortcomings of excessive chemical fertilizer and difficult control of water quality, and prevent the deterioration of water quality caused by algae aging.

8. Photosynthetic bacteria are mainly used to improve water quality and prevent diseases, not to treat diseases.
