During construction, the geotextiles on the geomembrane naturally overlap, and the geotextiles on the geomembrane are sewn or welded by hot air. Hot air welding is the preferred connection method of filament geotextile, that is, the connection of two pieces of cloth is heated at high temperature with a hot air gun instantly, so that some of them reach a molten state, and then they are firmly bonded together with a certain external force immediately.
In wet (rain and snow) weather, geotextile should adopt another method-sewing connection, that is, double-thread sewing connection with special sewing machine and chemical anti-ultraviolet sewing thread.
The minimum width for sewing is 10cm, the minimum width for natural lap joint is 20cm, and the minimum width for hot air welding is 20cm. When sewing, the quality of sewing thread should be the same as that of geotextile, and the sewing thread should be made of materials with strong chemical damage resistance and ultraviolet radiation ability.
