Where is the source and destination of Qihe River?
The source of Qihe River is Qizishan in Fangnaoling, Lingchuan County, Shanxi Province, and the destination is Weihe River. Qihe River is a tributary of Weihe River. Qihe River originates from Qizi Mountain in Fangnaoling, Lingchuan County, Shanxi Province, flows through Lingchuan County and Huguan County, huixian city City, Linzhou City, qibin district City, Qixian County and Xunxian County, meets the Communist Canal in Liu Zhuang, Xunxian County, crosses the Communist Canal, and flows south to the small estuary east of Qimen Village, a new town in Xunxian County.

Qihe River has a total length of 16 1km and a drainage area of 2248km2, belonging to Haihe River Basin.

According to historical records, Qihe River has three sources, Xishui River in the north, Chiye River in the middle and Shayao River in the south, all in Lingchuan County, Shanxi Province. According to the principle that the longest tributary is the source, Xihe River should be the source of Qihe River.

Qihe River was a tributary of the Yellow River in ancient times and belonged to the Yellow River system. Gucci does not flow into the Weihe River, but flows to Shendian (Xukou and Gusu) in Xun County, turns to the northeast, passes through Guandian, Tongshan, Baisi Mountain, Wan Ren Mountain, Wengcheng and Jiangcun, and then flows forward into the ancient Yellow River. In 494 BC, in the eighteenth year of Jin Dinggong, due to the diversion of the Yellow River, Qihe River was injected southward, and the old Qihe River below Shendian was cut off.

In 204 AD, in the ninth year of Jian 'an, Emperor Xian of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Cao led an army to prevent Qihe River from entering Baigou (now Weihe River), and Qihe River became a tributary of Weihe River.

Qihe River is one of the least polluted rivers in northern China, with small sediment concentration, clear water flow and sweet taste, and its water quality has remained above the national second-class standard all the year round.
