The most fundamental content of Tai Ji Chuan is grasping, rowing, squeezing, pressing, picking, patting, elbowing, leaning, advancing, retreating, looking, looking and deciding, and standing piles is one of the best ways to practice. In the Secret Spectrum of Taiji Biography in the Qing Dynasty, there is a saying that "study hard, keep the middle-earth by law-a common name stands on the stump", and further expounds that "the middle-earth is difficult but does not leave its position." ... there is a root in the prescription. "In China Kung Fu, almost all sects have the practice content of standing piles, and they all list standing piles as the most important basic skills.

Over the years, I have stood in Shaolin, Dacheng Boxing Round Pile, tai chi pile in Tai Ji Chuan, Bagua Palm Walking Round Pile and Intelligent Qigong Three-centered Parallel Pile. I have also learned twelve piles in Emei, Xingyiquan three-body pile, Dingli pile, Zuiquan standing pile and natural gate short-step pile. These "piles" are essentially the same, but because of the different usage of "piles" by various parties, their interpretations and connotations of "piles" are also very different.

Shang Ji, a teacher of Xingyiquan, believes that standing pile is a training method that requires standing still according to a certain form. Shaolin Boxing Department believes that the meaning of pile refers to the pile in the human land, and also refers to the part left on the ground after the tree is cut down, that is, it is still and stable like a tree; The word "pile" of twelve piles of moths means the road extending in all directions, which is most aptly described in Bao Zhao's "Wu Cheng Fu" in the Southern Song Dynasty: "Re-entry of the river, 50% of the four meetings."

Standing piles is of great significance to improve the level of physical and mental cultivation and the realm of kung fu. After more than 20 years of exploration, I have basically clarified the connotation of standing piles according to the gist of Teacher Biography. In my opinion, as the cornerstone of Tai Ji Chuan's internal strength training, it is enough to train three pile methods: pole-free pile, lifting pile and mixed pile.

Among the three pile methods, mixing piles is the most important. We should not only devote special time to practice, but also cultivate the habit of standing and mixing piles without boxing.

Mixed pile is a kind of pile method of "from beginning to end", which can be practiced by beginners and people with advanced kung fu. When beginners and advanced kung fu practitioners practice this pile together, although there is no big difference in external posture, there will be a "world of difference" in internal realm.

The posture method of mixed pile foundation: first, the sole of the foot sticks to the ground, then the heel spreads outward, and the feet form an inverted figure of eight slightly wider than the shoulders, with the body slightly crouched and the tail pointing to the ground; then. Hands are slowly raised from both sides of the body, as if holding a big balloon, and raised to the chest in a circle. The hand is not above the shoulder, but below the navel, generally at the same height as the chest. Stand still like this for at least 30 minutes. Why stand for at least 30 minutes at a time? Because Chinese medicine believes that human qi and blood run in the body for 28 minutes a week. Of course, it doesn't matter if a novice doesn't stand for 30 minutes because of his weak physical strength. As long as you keep exercising, you can stick to it for 30 minutes. Generally speaking, standing for 30 minutes every day, after 100 days, laid the foundation for the body to further cultivate kung fu, which is what the ancients called the hundred-day foundation.

Finish the work: After standing the pile for 30 minutes, if you want to finish standing the pile, you can close your heels first, and then close your feet: hold the big balloon in your arms with both hands, just like putting it in your abdomen, naturally put the man's left hand down, the woman's right hand down, and put your hands together; Then press the left, up, right and down directions and rub the abdomen counterclockwise for 9 times; After 9 times, massage the abdomen clockwise for 9 times in the left, down, right and up directions.

Finally, put your hands on your navel and stand quietly. After 5 minutes, stand with your hands in a pole-free position for a few more minutes.

Progress ladder: Practitioners don't stand and do nothing in the process of standing piles. But it has a rich connotation of' regulating body and mind'. Generally speaking, after the pile position is set, you can carry out the special exercise of "seven-level kungfu" according to your advanced level of kungfu: the first floor holds the ball and opens and closes the second floor of Neizhuang in Dantian. The third floor loosens the waist to begin to understand, the fourth floor connects the trunk, the fifth floor is broken by Kun Liu, the sixth floor combines inside and outside, and the seventh floor connects the gods.

Mixed piles are also called "moon-holding piles". Or "tai chi pile". Gong Zhuang lies not in its name, but in its connotation. In fact, the connotation of many pile methods is not very different. The key is whether practitioners can understand the essence and practice these connotations. When standing piles, you should be quiet and serene, avoid being deliberately rigid, don't use force, and be free and easy, such as "your heart is like white clouds, and you always care about everything like running water". What's more, there must be a state of "pericardium deficiency" in which heaven and man are integrated. In this process, some people will break through the "nine physical and mental purification barriers" in turn (or alternately).

To get through the nine physical and mental purification barriers and achieve the "seven-level kung fu" of Tai Chi cultivation, you must have a master to teach. The "Nine Ways of Body and Mind Purification" is not only reflected in the mixed pile, but also in the whole practice of Tai Ji Chuan.
