Endless piling technique of Wutangmen

Author: Chen Lisheng (the first15th generation descendant of Wu Tangmen)

Wutang stepless pile station: commonly known as standing pile or electrodeless pile or electrodeless pile, mixed pile and round pile. Different appellations have the same substantive purpose. The purpose of pole-less standing is to practice internal strength. The formation of internal strength is mainly to develop the potential in the human body, which is what we often call qi, strength and strength. The key to the development of qi, energy and strength in our body is to form the factors that produce qi, energy and strength in our body. How can we satisfy the factors that produce it?

We should start with external and internal factors. The external cause is the tangible body, daily life. The internal cause is the essence, qi and spirit that can be seen and touched. Daily summary is sex. When life and sex can be in harmony with Taoism, it is to achieve what Taoism calls double cultivation of life.

The guiding ideology of Wu Tangmen's pole vault practice is "lifting heaven and earth, grasping yin and yang, breathing essence, nourishing spirit and independence, and nourishing muscles as one". See the Yellow Emperor's theory of ancient naivety, morality and classics, adherence to the yuan and unity, exclusive gas softness and emptiness. "Falling limbs, clumsy and clever", "Zhuangzi's great master". These ideas are to teach us that when practicing endless standing piles, the body should be surrounded, and the whole body should be bent, lifted up and down, left and right, and rounded back and forth. The six basic forces of the body are unified and interactive. The spirit does not leave the form, but should maintain the state that form and spirit are inseparable and integrated. Tao Te Ching said: "The sky is clear, the ground is flat, and the human spirit." If the body and spirit are mixed into one by standing piles, it will reach the "first", and the internal gas changes like an engine, forming an endless state. There will be words similar to Chapter 21 of the Tao Te Ching: "Suddenly there is an image; Suddenly, something was inside. " This "image" or "thing" means that when you fall down, you are smart, you stand silently for a long time, moving very quietly, and your body is full of vitality. Vigorous, just like there are "things" or "images" in the body.

Why is there vitality? Because when our body and mind are extremely quiet, the shape of our body and our inner consciousness are static, that is, in harmony with the Tao. This is just the opposite of ordinary people's thoughts and behaviors. In daily life, everyone's consciousness is in a state of fluctuation, and his heart is often in an impetuous state. It is rarely quiet, and the main functional organs such as eyes, mouth and ears, which consume the vitality of the body, are running, so the secular desire is in a state of turmoil, and it is restless day and night. Just as the founder Zhang Sanfeng said: "The heart grows, the heart grows tired, and the essence is exhausted." I saw it on the avenue.

If the heart moves for a long time, the qi does not gather, the spirit does not coagulate, the qi of the heart and kidney does not intersect, fire and water do not help each other, heaven and earth are separated, and yin and yang do not blend, so the vitality needed for internal work cannot be produced. When you calm down, the energy consumption of eyes, mouth and ears will be minimized or even not consumed. On the contrary, it is nourishing and increasing the vitality in our body. Therefore, we call it reverse or return, as the 40th chapter of Tao Te Ching says, "Those who return will be moved by the Tao". This "movement" is the generation and launch of vitality. Therefore, the appearance does not move, for the launch of internal vitality. With the generation of power, there is an endless foundation. Therefore, it is very important to practice Wu Tangmen's infinite standing skill, that is, to sit tight and do nothing, so that the inner "nature" can be in harmony with the Tao. When erecting a stake, not only "sex" but also "fate" should be in harmony with Tao, that is, our appearance should be in harmony with Tao.

Conforming to Tao means that the human body should conform to Heaven everywhere in appearance. Chapter 17 of the Tao Te Ching says, "Heaven is still full of bows." Therefore, when standing a pile, the main parts of the body should be bent, which is called "five bows" or above: when holding the yuan for a while, the hands are in the shape of holding the yuan, that is, the left hand and the left elbow form a bow, the elbow is the arch back, and the left hand and the left shoulder are connected into a bow string; The left elbow to the left shoulder, the right shoulder to the right elbow form a bow, the left and right shoulders are arched backs, and the bowstring is between the left and right elbows; From the right shoulder to the right elbow, the right hand line forms an arch; The right elbow is the arch back, and the connecting line between the right hand and the right shoulder forms a bowstring; The head is pushed up, the chin is retracted, and the back is straight, forming a convergence shape and connecting with the knee, that is, the connection line from Tianzhi to Shu Yao point is the back of the bow, and the top of the head and the knee form a bowstring; The left and right hip joints, knee joints and ankle joints form two arches, that is, the left hip joint is connected with the left ankle joint of the left knee joint to form an arc arch. The right hip joint is connected with the right ankle joint of the right knee joint to form an arch. All of them use the knee as the arch back, and the hip joint and ankle joint are connected into a bowstring. The bows of all parts of the body are connected to form a large circle that is unified and relative up and down, left and right, front and back, inside and outside, and looks like a circle. After this state is formed, it is conducive to the formation of internal gas storage or energy accumulation. As the old gentleman said in the fifth chapter of Tao Te Ching, "There is still ambiguity between heaven and earth." Negation is a circle around the void, and the void can be cultivated. Do the above, and fortune-telling will be in line with the Tao.

When our sex and life are in line with the Tao, we will practice the endless standing of Wutangmen for a long time, and our internal strength will naturally come into being.
