Is pure dew fragrant or not?
Essential oils and pure dew
Obtained by distilling aromatic plants.
However, it comes from the same plant.
The two tastes very different.
Listen to Susan Katie, the international master of aromatherapy.
The taste of 30 pure dew:
Real lavender
Lavender angustifolia
PH 5.6-5.9 (plateau varieties can be as low as 4.6)
Sweet floral scent, although the front tone of lavender pure dew has a strong honey fragrance, and the fragrance is lower than that of essential oil, and it is more inclined to the basic fragrance, but it is still easy to identify. If Wan Li's lingering eyes are fragrant in the summer afternoon, it is like the fragrance of lavender dew. Tastes like sweet soapy water, much like eating dried lavender flowers. I found that many people don't like the smell of lavender pure dew, unless it is sweetened or mixed with other pure dew.
Nerium oleander
Lime variety bitter medicine
pH 3.8–4.5
Orange blossom pure dew is one of the most complicated pure dew, with noble, fresh, sexy, gorgeous floral and fruity fragrance. The pure orange blossom dew with good quality is almost as beautiful as orange blossom essential oil; In fact, some people prefer the scent of pure orange blossom dew, which can be sprayed as perfume. The taste is very sweet, with a rich aroma of flowers and fruits and a touch of grass leaves. Undiluted orange blossom dew may taste too fragrant and even drown all your senses; The diluted pure dew is incredible. You must try. It's delicious.
Wild carrot seeds
carrot
pH 3.8–4.0
Like all seed dew, this dew has a mild smell. Warm, earthy, a little bitter chocolate, with a sweet smell. The soothing musk tone is equally attractive to both men and women. The taste is dry, but it still smells warm and earthy, which is particularly attractive.
cornflower
cornflower
pH4.7-5.0
The taste of cornflower is very elegant. The pure fragrance of cool cornflower is almost invisible; The warm cornflower dew exudes a faint fragrance of flowers. Undiluted pure dew tastes elegant, with a little grass fragrance, not particularly biased towards the taste of flowers or herbs, with a little bitterness in its stamina, but it is not unacceptable. After dilution, its taste almost disappeared, but the smell was more obvious.
witch hazel
Witch hazel in Virginia
PH value 4.0-4.2
Very elegant herbal fragrance with a hint of wood. It is close to the plant itself, but not too green. The taste is very astringent and indescribable, unless diluted, but this is not a suitable method of use. It has a strong astringent effect on the oral cavity, and its taste is bitter, and its smell is much worse than that of pure witch hazel dew sold in the general market.
Damascus rose
Rosa damascena
PH 4. 1-4.4
Pure rose dew smells almost like fresh roses. The extremely complex and sacred aroma has a lemon-like shadow, especially the aroma of real ancient rose varieties used in the previous distillation process. It has moist, cool floral fragrance and taste. Undiluted pure rose dew tastes very dramatic and overwhelming, a little too rich. But once diluted, its rich floral essence becomes exquisite, delicate and delicious. Once you have smelled and tasted real pure rose dew, you will immediately understand that there are so many artificial pure rose dew on the market. Some distillers produce Rosa multiflora pure dew, and I've seen unusual Shar Rosa multiflora essential oil, so maybe there will be Shar Rosa multiflora pure dew on the market in the near future.
Desert lotus
Feros, Ladani
PH 2.9–3.1
Some people describe it as "the Rolls Royce of the Prince of India" or "a change of dirty clothes". In other words, people who like it like it very much, and people who don't like it just don't like it. This essential oil is very special in pure dew, but it lacks the richness and depth of the original essential oil, which may disappoint people who like rock rose essential oil. Its taste and fragrance are pure, with the fragrance of herbs. It is clear but warm and indescribable, but I personally like it.
Jasmine jasmine
jasmine
pH 5.6
At first, all the' real products' I had at hand came from Indian water distilled jasmine essence, so the fragrance of sandalwood essential oil, which forms the basis of the essence, will remain. The smell of jasmine is obvious, but it is not as strong as jasmine essence. Like jasmine after rain, the flowers are still wet and the fragrance is washed away little by little. The taste is very interesting, partly because of the distillation process, so there is a dry and warm sandalwood smell after the rich floral ingredients. However, a recent batch of pure jasmine dew distilled from Hawaiian water is specially used to collect pure jasmine dew. A few drops of essential oil floating in it are heavier than water and sink to the bottom of the bottle. Its fragrance and taste are really perfect, similar to jasmine essence and better than any pure dew I have used before.
Rose geranium
Pelargonium hirsutum
pH 4.9–5.2
Rich and sweet floral fragrance, with a wonderful rose-like taste in the aftertaste. Smells like geranium oil. Undiluted taste has a very strong floral fragrance, just like drinking chanel no.5 perfume! No matter what the temperature of the pure dew itself is, it feels very cool when it touches the skin and is contained in the mouth. The rich floral fragrance obviously fades after the pure dew is diluted, making it the most delicious and sweet special drink.
The root of angelica dahurica
Chinese angelica
pH 3.8
An unusual smell. The first impression of the pure fragrance of Angelica dahurica root is like dirty socks in memory, but it is quickly replaced by the astringency and sweetness of the plant itself and the fragrance of essential oil and green herbs. Its taste is a little fruity, very grassy but not earthy, accompanied by a little green floral notes, which is a very pleasing taste. After dilution, its taste becomes very mild, and it retains the faint floral and fruity fragrance. In addition to the roots of Angelica dahurica, there are pure dew extracted from Angelica dahurica seeds.
Yarrow of yarrow
Yarrow
pH 3.6–3.9
Strong smell but not particularly pleasing; Some people describe this pure dew smell as "puppy smell" Whether it is aroma or taste, it has absolutely nothing to do with floral fragrance. It tastes better than it smells, but not much better. It tastes better when diluted to a low concentration.
Roman chamomile
Roman chamomile
Cassia aurea
pH 3.0–3.3
Very sweet, like honey. Compared with its essential oil, the apple-like fragrance seems to be stronger, but softer and more delicate. Sometimes it smells more like grass and hay, but in my opinion, it should be the result of the change of operation mode during distillation, indicating that the quality of this batch of pure Roman chamomile dew is poor.
Tea tree's tea tree
Melaleuca alternifolia
pH 3.9–4. 1
Tea tree pure dew smells like disinfectant, which has a stimulating medicinal taste and taste. It will taste better after dilution, but not much better. However, since its uses are related to health care, you will find that it is best to drink this pure dew directly instead of spending the whole day tasting it slowly.
cypress
North American cypress
PH value 3.8-4.0
The fragrance of cypress pure dew is very light, with a little dry and warm taste. It tastes very astringent, with a green smell of wood, and tastes a bit like soapy water before dilution.
st john's wort
st john's wort
Hypericum perforatum
PH value 4.5-4.6
The smell is very dry, with a strong smell of green herbs and a little dull. Undiluted pure dew tastes sweeter than expected, but the adjusted taste is as dry as its smell and close to the taste of tannic acid. The diluted pure dew tastes like interesting vanilla tea, but I don't remember what it tastes like.
melissa
Fragrant bee flower
PH value 4.8-5.0
Compared with other plants, the fragrance of pure fragrant bee flower is very different. The scent of pure fragrant bee flower is very light, and it has more floral fragrance than its essential oil. Its smell is very special, just like its plants and essential oils. Before dilution, it was a little bitter and smelled like lemon. It becomes softer and sweeter after dilution, and it is very delicious. Suitable for daily drinking.
Italian permanent flower helichrysum
Helichrysum italicum
PH value 3.5-3.8
The pure dew fragrance of Italian permanent flowers is very special. Some people think it smells like honey on freshly baked bread, while others think it looks like dusty old clothes! Personally, I think it smells like bitter and warm herbs, much like hay, with a little smell of hot summer days and dusty hills, and a Mediterranean feeling. The taste is bitter, almost like the taste of soap, without any sweetness.
Elderberry flower
Elderberry
PH value 4.0-4.2
Its fragrance is outstanding. It smells of flowers, but it is not sweet at all. The fragrance and taste are exquisite and elegant, but they have wonderful characteristics. The diluted taste is more memorable.
Chamomile
Chamomile
Chrysanthemum morifolium
pH 4.0 - 4. 1
A little pungent but green front fragrance, and then emitting the middle tone of chamomile flower tea, has a cool and moist fragrance, which is a very complicated but direct fragrance. Undiluted pure German chamomile dew tastes bitter and sweet like green tea, accompanied by a very mild floral fragrance, but most of the bitterness will fade with the pure dew, leaving only a fragrance of wild flower honey. It tastes very different from Roman chamomile pure dew.
Eucalyptus globulus
Eucalyptus globulus
PH value 4. 1-4.3
The smell is obviously eucalyptus, but at first it was not as strong as camphor, not as strong as its essential oil. The fragrance is not very pleasing, especially if it is directly applied to the skin, it will leave an unpleasant smell after drying. The taste is very strong, bitter at first, and then there is a cool eucalyptus flavor. You can add some honey when giving it to children.
Juniper berry
Chinese juniper
PH value 3.3-3.6
Extremely dry, as if moldy, with a bitter and sweet taste. The taste has a strong woody smell, and its astringency will cause muscle contraction in the mouth. The diluted taste is still very dry, but it won't cause uncomfortable dryness-it's actually very similar to the taste of bitter gin!
Verbenone rosemary
Rosemary verbenone
Rosemary CT3
PH value 4.5-4.7
Rosemary fragrance, no pungent taste. At first, the fragrance was sweet and soft turquoise, and then the classic sharp rosemary fragrance, but it was lighter. Undiluted, the taste is very strong, like fragrant herbs, and the green feeling is as cool as mint, which quickly fills the whole mouth and is lighter than other chemical types of rosemary. The overall taste effect after dilution is sweet and refreshing, not so sharp.
Frankincense frankincense
boswellia carterii
PH value 4.7-4.9
The fragrance of frankincense pure dew is very different. Sweeter than olibanum oil, but I can see that it is pure dew of frankincense. There is a little resin fragrance, which is a bit like the fragrance of conifers. Compared with the aroma of essential oil extracted by distillation, it is slightly warmer and closer to the aroma of frankincense essence extracted by carbon dioxide. The pure frankincense dew diluted by Zhujing tastes bitter, but it is not rejected by modern people. After dilution, the pure frankincense dew lost its original bitterness and became gentle and beautiful, very smooth.
Cedar, an Atlantic cedar
Atlantic cedar
PH value 4. 1-4.2
A faint fragrance; Dry wood, much like sawdust with a sweet smell. Today, people think of three-bedroom or wooden wardrobes, although these devices are usually made of North American arborvitae (golden cypress) instead of Mediterranean cedar (cedar). The fragrance of cedar essential oil is very different from the well-known cedar essential oil.
Sandalwood sandalwood
Sandalwood album
PH value 5.9-6.0
No matter how faint the smell is, the soft and bitter fragrance of sandalwood can never be mistaken. Sandalwood must be at room temperature to give off fragrance. Its taste is more obvious than its fragrance, which is the common feature of all wood pure dew; It has a bitter but pleasant taste and remains unchanged after dilution.
Mint mint
peppermint
The pH value is 6. 1-6.3.
It smells like mashed fresh mint leaves. Strong and cool, but obviously much lighter than its essential oil. Undiluted taste is very rich, but after dilution, the taste becomes milder and tastes as delicious as mint tea.
Abies balsamina
Abies balsamifera
PH value 3.8-4.0
With the fragrance of the forest. There is a slight musty smell in the smell, and there are both dry and wet smells. It tastes tasteless, but it tastes better in sweet warm drinks than in cold drinks.
Stability and shelf life: very stable; It can be stored for 14 to 16 months, but the flavor will start to decline after 12 months.
Cinnamon, cinnamon, cinnamon
Cinnamomum Ceylon
pH3.8-3.9
The pure dew of cinnamon leaves tastes like candy: sweet and delicious, just like a delicious cinnamon dessert. The pure dew of cinnamon bark has a strong cinnamon smell, which is similar to the pungent smell of essential oil candy that adults dare to eat. The pure dew of cinnamon tastes heavy, but not so spicy, and it tastes wonderful. Both kinds of pure dew have a strong smell, but the undiluted cinnamon leaf/bark pure dew tastes delicious, and the diluted cinnamon pure dew will still retain their unique cinnamon fragrance.
elecampane
elecampane
PH value 4.7-4.9
Mint-like coolness, a touch of spice with a hint of cherry blossoms. Tastes like mint herb, much like cough syrup.
Greenland trumpet tea
Greenland moss/Labrador tea
Grandouxiang
PH value 3.8-4.0
Its fragrance is very special, layered, rich but soft, without excessive floral fragrance. Moist and unrestrained, it is not the herb fragrance like green leaves, but a little sour and sweet, like the fragrance of freshly cut grass. After the entrance, its extremely bitter taste has the function of relieving pain, and finally leaves a aftertaste like eucalyptus, but gradually turns back to the smell of grass.
