Breeding method of mulberry
1, layered
Press down the branches from the mother plant, cut off the bark of the branches and bury them in the soil, leaving the branches exposed. When the branch survives and takes root, cut it off. Generally, it is planted in spring or autumn, and the mother plant is buried in the ditch and compacted in early spring. The hole row spacing is 2.0 m×0.4m m.
2. Transplantation method
Grafting is to graft the bud or branch of another mulberry tree to the root or branch of a mulberry tree to make it a new plant. Grafting methods mainly include root grafting, branch grafting and bud grafting. Temperature has a direct effect on the grafting effect. Therefore, we must choose the appropriate grafting period according to the characteristics of tree species, generally 20 to 25 degrees, and do not graft in the rainy season under strong winds.
3. Seed propagation
Wash the mature mulberries and remove the pulp to get the seeds. Mulberry seeds can be sown in autumn, summer or spring, and new seeds can be sown in autumn or summer. First, soak the seeds in warm water of 50 degrees for at least 12h. When the seed coat is broken, you can sow.
