What causes the strength of refractory castable to decrease during construction?
Technical parameters of refractory castable refractory castable is supplied in the form of bulk mixture, which is transported to the site by construction personnel and mixed with water. This refractory is mainly used for lining building of kiln and repairing damaged parts in the process of old lining. Usually, lining construction is carried out in the form of pouring vibration. The building main body is cured, hardened, demoulded and dried on site, and then delivered for use. If the use strength of refractory castable decreases during construction, the reasons for the decrease should be analyzed according to the following points.

One: the strength of refractory castable decreases due to improper water consumption.

Secondly, the mixing and stirring mechanism of refractory castable is not suitable.

The mixing process of refractory castable needs to go through the following three processes:

(1) break the aggregate of dry powder and homogenize the powder particles.

(2) Adding water into the powder to change it from dry powder to fluid state requires enough mixing energy, which is usually called the turning point of refractory castable.

(3) After adding all necessary water, mix the materials to a suitable stable state and uniform state. Sometimes, high speed can be used in the last stage to compensate for the influence of insufficient mixing in the first two processes.

Thirdly, drying the refractory castable body.
