Among those with hairline behind the temporal bone, the wind pool is full of yang and yang, which is mainly responsible for apoplexy and headache caused by yang, so it is the place where wind evil accumulates, hence the name.

Acupoint anatomy of Fengchi point;

Below Fengchi point are the skin, subcutaneous tissue, nuchal fascia, head muscle, head semi-spinous muscle, rectus major behind head and oblique muscle above head. The skin is distributed by occipital nerve of cervical plexus. The fascia of the back of the neck surrounds the superficial and deep muscles of the back of the neck. The needle penetrates into the superficial layer of nuchal fascia from skin and subcutaneous tissue, into the superficial head muscle between sternocleidomastoid muscle and trapezius muscle, and then into the deep-seated long head muscle and semi-spinous head muscle of erector spinae.

The nuchal muscle is innervated by the posterior branch of the cervical nerve. The posterior branch of the second cervical nerve can be divided into medial branch and lateral branch. The lateral branch participates in innervating the nuchal muscle, and the medial branch is the cutaneous branch, which is called the greater occipital nerve. The nerve, accompanied by occipital artery and vein, goes up in the deep surface of the nuchal fascia, about at the level of the nuchal line, passes through the attachment point of trapezius muscle and the superficial layer of the nuchal fascia, and branches to the skin at the back of the skull.
