Characteristics of crane boxing technique
The four kinds of crane boxing, religion, vocalization, flying and food, have the same origin, and there are many similarities in techniques and training requirements. For example, they all talk about three wars as the basis; They all talk about the technique of sinking abdomen and practicing abdomen, and replenish strength with qi. Fight both inside and outside, with the help of light and shadow. In terms of posture, it is required to hold the top of the head, stabilize the neck, pull outward, and relax the shoulders, waist, hips and crotch. All technologies need five elements of change, and they complement each other. Footwork requires stability, five cents landing, landing and taking root, and so on. But as different kinds of boxing, they have their own characteristics and uniqueness: cranes are driven by sound and brave.

He Ming's boxing image is like a bird's feather. It is called "He Ming" because it makes good use of the palm of your hand, often makes sounds and helps to make sounds. He Ming Boxing is characterized by taking shape as boxing, meaning spirit, promoting strength with qi, strong boxing potential and many upper limb movements. This posture requires heavy shoulders and elbows, including chest and back stretching. Footwork requires stability and rooting. When exerting force, the force starts from the heel and the gas sinks into the abdomen. The waist, legs and arms are connected in one breath, striving for fluency and focusing on energy storage. Boxing has such a trick. In a word, "the dog method is the landing lotus (note) and the crane method relies on shaking hands." The so-called "shaking hands" in the crane method is "shaking the body": "shaking" refers to the changing way of technique and posture, and "zong" is the zongjin we mentioned earlier. He Ming Boxing is also a kind of crane boxing, and its strength cannot be separated from Zong Jin. When the power of He Ming Boxing reaches all joints, there is obvious "trembling power". Fujian people call this action "Bi" (some people call it "Blowing Strength" or "bending center").

Like other Nanquan, the singing crane has a similar feature, that is, there are more movements on its hands. The five elements of gold, wood, water, fire and earth are also discussed in attack and defense. These five technologies are interrelated, namely, Jinshui, aquatic wood, Wood Fire, Fire Earth and Primary Gold; Huojinke, Shuihuoke, Shangkeshui, Mukeshang, Jin Kemu. According to the above ten interdependent, contradictory and transforming techniques, we should always keep the changes of swallowing, spitting, floating and sinking in training, and also correctly cooperate with the abdominal breathing of Qigong. Its coordination methods are: swallowing is sucking, spitting is screaming, floating is screaming, and sinking is sucking.

Hardness and softness

There is a saying in "On Hequan": "Combine rigidity with softness, calm the mind and soothe the nerves." For beginners, besides learning to walk, the most important thing is to relax all joints of the body and gradually eliminate their inherent stiffness. The strength required by martial arts is difficult for laymen to understand, so there is a saying that "laymen watch the excitement and experts watch the doorway". People who have just learned boxing always hope that they can master the skills as soon as possible and achieve accurate and powerful movements. But "Rome was not built in a mortar." Mastering skills will never work in a short time. Beginners are nervous during school because of their unskilled movements, and often have stiff muscles, stiff joints and uncoordinated movements of upper and lower limbs. Plus, I don't know luck, so I can only be a stiff idiot with my whole body. They always think that practicing strength is to use the greatest strength of the whole body, and the strength of pushing a cart, pulling heavy objects and using strength in daily life is strength, so they have always used this method of exerting strength in practice. This is not the starting method of martial artists, and it must be consciously reversed. The wrong method of exerting strength cannot be corrected at once. Even those who have practiced for a period of time will sometimes appear again, because it is a habit of daily life.

Therefore, if you want to practice crane boxing well, you must first destroy this rigid conditioned reflex. Establish a new dynamic conditioned reflex. This needs to go through many tests and tribulations. After removing the rigidity of the body, the body should maintain a natural relaxation during training, and all parts of the body should naturally relax during strenuous exercise. When you know how to relax and work hard, it means that you have begun to develop martial arts softness. When riding strength appears on you, it also means that the stiffness on your body has been basically eliminated. Only by correctly mastering what strength is and how to exert it, and relying on the cooperation of internal qi and movements, and exercising every day, the strength will increase day by day, and the strength of "trembling and blowing" required by He Ming Boxing can be changed from soft to hard and from stiff to hard. Martial arts can't only use rigidity, nor can it only use softness. It must be both rigid and flexible. The boxing formula says that "the crane method depends entirely on shaking the hand of the sect", and the shaking is soft and the sect is rigid.

The change of technique and posture in He Ming Boxing is called shaking, and the internal body exudes strong elasticity, which is called sect. Therefore, combining rigidity with softness is the dharma. In martial arts, it is not only the crane boxing that needs to combine rigidity with softness, but also other boxing styles in the north and south. Only in different kinds of boxing, the forms and methods of combining hard and soft attack and defense are different. In martial arts, too rigid hands are called dexterity, and too soft hands are called softness. From the angle of attack and defense, it is too rigid and easy to be soft; Too soft and easy to become rigid. Between rigidity and softness, it is required to be rigid but not rigid, and soft but not respectful. Softness should be soft but not loose, not soft, alive but not stagnant, and changeable, which is the "shaking" required by He Mingquan. If you can do this, you can "change your arrows" when attacking. When you come into contact with the attacker, you will be good at observing his attack and immediately change your tactics to defeat your opponent.
