First, deal with the branches.
Many flower shops ignored some small details when raising Fu Guizhu for the first time, and directly put the boughs they bought into vases to raise them. These branches need simple treatment before they can be hydroponically cultivated.
The first thing is to remove some old leaves and yellow leaves at the bottom. There are too many leaves below, which not only consumes a lot of nutrients, but also is prone to yellow leaves when soaked in water. Peel off some old leaves and yellow leaves at the bottom directly, and roots and new leaves can grow faster in the later stage.
Then cut off the stems at the bottom of the branches, because many stems at the bottom have been dehydrated and withered, and even if they are inserted into the water, they will rot for a long time and yellow leaves will appear. It is easier to take root by obliquely cutting a fresh part at 45℃ and then hydroponics.
Second, don't add too much water.
There are also flower friends who raise rich and precious bamboos. Although the branches have been treated, there are still phenomena of not rooting or yellow leaves. In fact, the depth of water level in the vase is also very important. If water is directly poured into clear water, even the leaves at the bottom are soaked in the water, and the plants can't breathe well, so it is easy to have yellow leaves without roots.
We all have hydroponic bamboos at home. It is better to use pure water or tap water, but after a long time, moss will grow in the vase, and the bottle is too deep to clean.
Don't fill the vase with too much water, as long as the bottom of the stem can be submerged in water. Generally, it should be added to the depth of vase 1/3 or 8 ~ 10 cm, and then water should be added after the water level drops. Rich and precious bamboos that have just started hydroponics should be changed frequently, and fresh water should be changed every 3 to 5 days.
Third, add plant nutrient solution.
Hydroponic bamboo should also be regularly supplemented with nutrition, because there is basically no nutrition in the water. If it is raised with clean water for a long time, the plants will grow longer and thinner, and it is not easy to grow new leaves, and the old leaves will turn yellow.
Many flower lovers will put some rusty nails or vitamin tablets in vases when raising Fu Guizhu. Although these methods have certain effects, they can not fully meet the nutrients needed for the growth of Phyllostachys pubescens.
If you want to cultivate rich and precious bamboo, you'd better prepare a bottle of hydroponic plant nutrient solution at home. Its nutrient elements are relatively uniform. After changing water every time, just add a few drops of nutrient solution to the water, which will make it take root faster and flourish.
Fourth, avoid direct sunlight.
Fu Guizhu is suitable for indoor preservation without direct sunlight. It is a plant that likes to grow in semi-cool environment, and it is afraid of strong light. If placed in the sun, it is easy to turn the leaves yellow and the whole plant will wither severely.
Of course, the growth of Fugui bamboo also needs photosynthesis. Plants can flourish as long as they are placed in a bright and ventilated environment and sprayed with water mist frequently to keep the air environment moist. In winter and spring, when the light intensity is weak, you can also let it see the weak scattered light appropriately, so that the leaves will be greener and more shiny.
Family-raised bamboo will soon take root, sprout and flourish as long as the branches are handled in advance, the water in the vase is not too deep, nutrient solution is added to it regularly, and it is maintained in a well-ventilated semi-cool environment.
