Introduction to Ji Kang:
Ji Kang (A.D. 224 -263, written in A.D. 223 -262) was born in Luoxian County (now Suixi County, Anhui Province), a thinker, musician and writer of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period.
Ji Kang was clever since he was a child. He reads widely and studies all kinds of arts, especially the theory of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi. In his early years, he married the wife of Changle Pavilion, the great granddaughter of Wei Wudi and Cao Cao, worshipped the official doctor, and awarded the third doctor, known as the "third" in the world. After Sima came to power, he lived in seclusion.
Ji Kang, Ruan Ji and others advocate a new style of metaphysics, arguing that "the more famous you teach, the more natural you are" and "the more noble you are, the more sensible you are". They became the spiritual leaders of the "Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest" and were listed as one of the "Bamboo Forest Celebrities". Ji Kang is proficient in melody, especially in playing the piano, and has written music theory works "Fu Qin" and "On Sound without Sorrow". Ji Kang wrote "The Wind Into the Pine", and it is said that Ji Kang also wrote "Lonely Family Meeting God".
