When the heart is clean, wisdom comes.
As we all know, the Monkey King in Journey to the West is very powerful, and one somersault can turn 108,000 Li. I tell you, although it is a novel, there is actually a deep Buddhist truth in The Journey to the West. The Monkey King's somersault is a symbol of delusion. In the eyes of the Buddha, the human heart is like a monkey, climbing everywhere and giving birth to delusions at will, as far as 108 thousand miles.

If you think too much, you will have less wisdom. Why do you say that? If a person's heart is occupied by all kinds of things all the time, thinking about the east and the west, or busy with this thing, but worried about another thing, how can he have time to develop his inner wisdom? The poet of the Song Dynasty said, "I don't know the true face of Lushan Mountain, but toward which corner of the mountain." "This is very philosophical. I was deeply fascinated by the external reality. Of course, it is impossible to see the real face of reality and the real world clearly, so it goes without saying that it is wise.

People often ask, "What's the difference between Buddha and all beings? What is the difference? Buddha is all living beings, and all living beings are buddhas. All beings dress and eat, and Buddha also dresses and eats; Everyone goes to work every day, and so does Buddha. Buddha Sakyamuni recites the scriptures every day, saying that he speaks for eight hours a day and doesn't rest all year round. Isn't that work? The difference is that everyone will be very picky in dressing and eating, and will be different in quality, dignity and thickness, but the Buddha will eat and wear whatever he has. He lives in the present, pays no attention, and everything is happy; When all beings work, they will be dissatisfied with the remuneration of their work and covet fame and fortune. But when the Buddha was preaching, he was absorbed in the scriptures and had no distractions in his heart, because he did things out of compassion.

The Six Ancestors Tanjing said: "Self-mastery is sentient beings, and self-knowledge is Buddha. It can be seen that the difference between sentient beings and Buddha lies only in the heart: the Buddha's heart is clean, broad and open, and inclusive; A lifetime's heart, like a dusty mirror, can see nothing. They can't see through the world and themselves, so they live in a daze and have no wisdom.

When I was in Jiangxi Buddhist College, monks often told students, "Always remind me of the next thought and purify my mind." What is a pure heart? Rest your mind and get rid of falsehood. If you don't think about it, you will purify your mind. Simply put, it is to get rid of redundant thoughts, concentrate and live wholeheartedly in the present. No matter what we do, even if we just eat and sleep, we can concentrate and try our best to do it well. Some people are not doing anything else when they eat, but their minds are full of confusion, anxiety and ignorance of food. This is not concentration, because their hearts are unclean.

Eat well when eating, sleep well when sleeping, and have a clean heart. Who can bother you and what can confuse you? This truth has long been said. In the Tang Dynasty, there was a Zen master named Dazhu Huihai, and his cultivation was very profound. Someone asked him how to study hard, so he opened his mouth and replied, "Eat when you are hungry and sleep when you are sleepy." Others don't understand, saying that you call it hard work? Who is not hungry and sleepy? If it is so easy to practice, won't everyone become a Buddha? Zen master Dazhu Huihai said, "I am different from them! Ordinary people don't eat well, and they have all kinds of ideas; I can't sleep well, and I have a lot of delusions. 」

Don't eat when eating, and don't sleep honestly when sleeping. This is not clean in my heart, messing around. No matter what you are doing, focus on every moment, think less, climb less, calculate less and pursue less, and your heart will precipitate impurities like water, return to a quiet and transparent state, be calm, your brain will be easy to use, and wisdom will naturally appear.

Everyone may have this experience: when you are upset and anxious, you can't handle things well. Once you calm down and clear your mind, you may be able to handle it easily; For a long time, I couldn't figure out this problem. One day when I went out for a walk, I saw a bloom, or a yellow leaf fell, and my heart was empty. I probably figured it out immediately and freed myself from the pain at once. This is the wisdom brought by purity.

Wisdom does not mean how much money you can earn, how much fame you have, how much higher your position is than others, and so on. It's your ability to settle down and take control of your life. There are some people in this world who are very talented and capable. They know how to gain wealth, fame and status, and how to live a comfortable life. But they have no real wisdom and don't know how to get a high-quality life. They are often trapped in busyness, comparison and greed, cut off from health, happiness and happiness, can't eat well, can't sleep well and can't even taste a cup of tea.

Nowadays, people are particularly prone to fall into an idle situation, so they need pure wisdom more. Everyone may try to do nothing when they are chased by the busyness and lingering troubles that never touch the ground. In a quiet state, straighten out and classify your thoughts, then let go of unnecessary thoughts, delusions that you can't force, desires that don't suit you, make room for your heart, and let happiness, freedom and peace come in.
