Shiqian Hot Spring is located at the foot of Songming Mountain in the south of Shiqian County, Guizhou Province, also known as Chengnan Hot Spring. It is one of the oldest hot springs in China.
Shiqian hot spring facilities began to take shape in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, when Jiang Dakun, a native of Yunnan, was the magistrate of Shiqian. After several fund-raising generalizations or reconstructions, officials and people in past dynasties finally formed a scenic spot with perfect facilities and large scale. According to the records of Guizhou Tongzhi, the big one is like a board house, the small one has a stone gate, and the ring is Tai Chi, which can be accessed. The scene is particularly strange. After liberation, two new bath buildings were built, which stood by the river and were inscribed by many ancient celebrities. Surrounded by towering pavilions, faint trees and white clouds, overlooking the Longdi River, green hills and green shadows, weeping willows all over the embankment.
Shiqian hot spring has a history of more than 400 years and has a unique traditional bathing culture. It is the only natural mineral spring in China and rare in the world that can be directly used for bathing and drinking. Spring water gurgles out from the crevices at the foot of Songming Mountain, with a constant temperature of 45℃ all year round and a sunrise of more than 3,000 tons. It is rich in trace elements beneficial to human health, such as selenium, strontium, lithium, radon, zinc, iodine and metasilicic acid, and has a good auxiliary medical effect on diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension, arthritis, neuritis and dermatosis. It is a well-known "hometown of spring capital" in China.
