Is there any difference in tea drinking culture in different areas of China?
Tea is a treasure of China culture, and drinking tea is an emotional experience.

When I started to study the tea drinking culture in different regions of China, I found such a fascinating topic: Because of the different geography, climate and folk customs, the tea drinking methods in different regions of China also have their own characteristics.

North and South: Strong contrast between light and shade

I have always been interested in the differences of tea culture in different parts of China, especially the contrast between light and shade in the north and south. In my own tea ceremony exploration, I was lucky enough to experience these two different tea drinking cultures, which made me understand their characteristics and charm more deeply.

For the first time, I experienced the strong tea drinking culture in the south. At a gathering with friends in Guangdong Teahouse, I first felt the strong cultural flavor of Kung Fu tea.

We ordered a pot of Wuyi rock tea, and the tea maker gave us a tea-making performance on the spot. His movements are skillful and powerful, and every step is full of ritual. Tea is dancing in the teapot, and its fragrance is diffuse, like a feast of sight and smell.

I tasted it carefully. The taste of tea is strong and profound, and I seem to feel the history and land of tea. Friends are tasting, and we exchange our feelings about tea.

This way of drinking tea emphasizes the taste and texture of tea, and brings the aroma and taste of tea to the extreme. This experience made me understand the intensity and concentration of tea drinking culture in the south.

Another time, I had the opportunity to experience the light tea drinking culture in the north. When meeting friends in Beijing, they prepared a cup of light green tea for us.

Tea leaves are gently brewed, and the tea is clear and elegant. In a teacup, the aroma of tea seems to be fresher than that of southern kungfu tea.

Everyone took their time and savored each cup of tea leisurely. Compared with the strong in the south, the way of drinking tea in the north pays more attention to the freshness and refreshment of tea, emphasizing the elegance and health preservation of tea.

Through these two experiences of drinking tea in different places, I understand the difference of tea drinking culture between the north and the south. Southern tea drinking emphasizes the strength and depth of tea, and emphasizes the taste and texture of tea; Tea drinking in the north is relatively light, paying attention to the elegance and freshness of tea.

These two different tea drinking cultures have their own characteristics and charms, which both reflect the lifestyles and cultural traditions in different regions.

Minority areas: the blending of multi-cultures

In China, the tea-drinking culture in ethnic minority areas is the product of multicultural blending, which has its own characteristics and charm different from that in Han areas.

During the journey of exploring the tea ceremony, I had the honor to personally experience the tea drinking culture in some minority areas, which made me more deeply understand the differences between them and Han areas.

I once had an unforgettable experience of drinking tea with local Bai friends in Yunnan. They prepared a pot of selected Pu 'er tea for me. Teapots are handmade pottery, full of rich national culture.

In their home, I saw all kinds of ethnic handicrafts, which are closely related to their tea drinking culture.

The way they drink tea is different from that in Han areas. They put the tea in the teapot, pour boiling water, soak it once or twice, "wake up the tea", and then make tea formally. In this process, they will gently shake the teapot to ensure that the tea leaves are evenly dispersed.

When tasting tea, they pour tea leaves into cups from a height, which can increase the oxygen in the tea soup and make the tea more lively.

In another experience, I drank butter tea with my Tibetan friends in Tibet. This is a kind of strong tea, which usually consists of ghee, salt and tea. I saw them mix and stir tea leaves with other materials, then boil them, and finally get a bowl of fragrant buttered tea.

This way of drinking tea plays an important role in their lives, which not only nourishes their bodies, but also symbolizes their hospitality and cultural heritage.

Through these experiences, I understand that tea-drinking culture in minority areas is a blend of multiple cultures, which is obviously different from that in Han areas.

Each ethnic minority has its own unique way of tea ceremony, which reflects their living habits, cultural heritage and values. Compared with the Han nationality areas, the tea-drinking culture in ethnic minority areas is more diverse and full of vitality, and it can also show the rich cultural diversity of China.

These experiences make me respect and appreciate the tea culture in different regions.

Whether it is the light tea ceremony of Han nationality or the rich tea culture of ethnic minorities, each has its unique charm and value. Through exchanges with different cultures, I also cherish the multicultural heritage of our country more, and realize that cultural blending and integration is the uniqueness of our country.

Diversity of tea culture;

I have a deep understanding of tea drinking culture in different areas of China, and found that tea drinking habits in northern, southern and ethnic minority areas have their own characteristics, reflecting the climate, geography and cultural background of each place.

Tea drinking culture in the north pays attention to the warmth of tea, especially in cold winter, drinking tea has become a way of heating. Tea often exists in the form of strong tea and brick tea, and tea sets are mostly ceramics or iron pot.

In the north, I once attended a traditional tea party. Everyone sits around and holds hot tea, not only to enjoy the taste of tea, but also to keep warm in winter and communicate with relatives and friends.

Southern tea culture pays more attention to the freshness of tea. The climate in the south is hot and humid, and people like to drink green tea and scented tea to quench their thirst in summer.

I lived in the south for a while. Every summer, I always make a pot of green tea and drink it after refrigeration. The fragrance and taste of tea are intoxicating, and I deeply understand the characteristics of drinking tea in the south.

Tea drinking culture in minority areas is rich and colorful. For example, on the ancient tea-horse road in Yunnan, tea is closely related to the daily life of ethnic minorities. Based on the tea-horse trade, they also integrate their own culture into tea. I have been fortunate enough to have been to the minority settlements in Yunnan, and tasted the buttered tea of the Tu nationality with the local people, and felt their enthusiasm and inheritance of tea culture.

Beibei has something to say:

Although the tea culture in different parts of China has its own characteristics, it presents various charms on the basis of the same tea culture.

Every way of drinking tea carries the history, customs and emotions of a specific region, which makes us more deeply understand the cultural significance of tea.

Just as tea dances in the water, I feel the blending and inheritance of culture in the fragrance of tea in different places, which echoes the diversified beauty of tea culture.
