Guilin Medical College plans to recruit 250 academic postgraduate students in 20 14. According to China Education Online, Guilin Medical College recruits candidates for unified recruitment, including four types: orientation within the national plan, non-orientation, entrusted training outside the national plan, and self-financing. Planned and non-oriented graduate students are enrolled in the national plan, and the training funds are provided by the state. Unplanned entrusted training and self-funded postgraduate training funds shall be paid by the unit or individual to the training unit.

In addition, China Education Online information shows that with the approval of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, Guilin Medical College awarded a bachelor's degree 1993. In the same year, the State Education Commission approved it as an institution with the conditions to accept foreign students. 1995 began to jointly train postgraduate students with Tongji medical university and other institutions, and 1996 successfully passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry of Education.
