Qi Baishi's childhood story
1. Lou Shibai, a close disciple of Qi Baishi and a famous painter in his late nineties, recently released a set of personal paintings. Lou Shibai hopes to hold a retrospective exhibition of these works in China Art Museum when he is 90 years old next year. The reporter enjoyed these paintings for the first time this week.

I like drawing Zhou Yu since I was a child.

Painting collection in the 1980s.

One winter morning, according to the address provided by a friend before, the reporter came to the southwest corner of Beiyuan Hotel. The inconspicuous corridor and some simple iron-green doors made reporters wonder if they had found the wrong door. Hesitantly rang the doorbell and the door opened in a moment. An old man with a kind smile on his face told the reporter that she is Mr. Lou's wife, surnamed Wang. Lou Shibai, whom I met soon, was smiling, too. Although he is 89 years old, the old man's body is still strong, but his ears are not working well. His eyebrows are gray, and they are particularly long, echoing his hair.

Talking about the reasons for publishing Lou Shibai's works, Lou Shibai, who is now a master painter, still modestly said that he came out to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Qi Baishi's birthday/KLOC-0 and report his achievements to the teacher. On the day of the interview, Lou Shibai rarely mentioned himself, and "Qi Baishi" became the three words with the highest frequency. Talking about how to embark on the road of painting, in Lou Shibai's own words, before I met Mr. Qi Baishi, I had a natural love for painting. In my childhood memory, my father often bought books to read, Chinese paintings to appreciate, and old rubbings to study ... which invisibly cultivated Lou Shibai's love for calligraphy and painting. From the age of seven or eight, Lou Shibai began to doodle on walls and concrete floors. Every time I come back from watching Peking Opera with adults, I always draw people like Zhao Zilong and Zhou Yu.

Bai Shimen once studied painting.

Look at the situation of teachers and students in the picture of repairing cracks

/kloc-at the age of 0/4, he studied painting with Qi Baishi. 16 years old, became a formal apprentice. He followed Qi Baishi for 25 years and eventually became a closed disciple. Today, when it comes to the acquaintance with Qi Baishi, Lou Shibai is still a few treasures: "1One day in the summer of 932, my father, who was an engineer in Xiangshan Kindergarten, saw a bearded elder and a middle-aged woman sitting in the front row with two children on the long-distance bus to work. The old man spoke with a Hunan accent. When his father heard it was a local accent, he couldn't help talking to him. Only then did he know that the old man was the famous Qi Baishi and wanted to send his two children to Xiangshan Kindergarten. Later, I learned that we lived not far away, so we often traveled back and forth. Once, Qi Baishi, who came to see me, praised me when he saw me imitating his pen and ink fan. He proposed that two schools "teach for children" and accept me as a disciple. So, the day before 1934 beginning of autumn, my mother bought two boxes of dried fruits and two pieces of cloth, and my father wrote a disciple's post with the names of three generations of grandparents and grandchildren on it, leading me to Qi's hometown to kowtow simply. "

During the interview, Lou Shibai showed the reporter a picture called Mending Cracks, which depicts an old woman mending clothes in the yard. Lou Shibai said, "In the 1920s and 1930s, Tongchun Garden was a famous hotel in Beijing, where squirrels and mandarin fish were excellent, and many scholars often came here. Once, Mr. Baishi took me to Tongchun Garden. I got off the rickshaw and was in a hurry to help the teacher. My gown was accidentally cut by the car. I am very upset because my family is poor. But in order to amuse me, Mr. Qi Baishi asked for a pen and paper when he entered the Spring Garden, and made a painting for me as a souvenir. "

Rename Shao Huaibai

Don't make fake paintings of Qi Baishi

1937, Qi Baishi changed the original name of Lou Shibai from Lou Shaohuai to Shao Huai, and gave him the seal of "Baishi". "Be less pregnant" is taken from a sentence of Confucius: "The old man's benevolence, the young man's bosom, the friend's trust." The significance of "learning from others" mainly lies in urging yourself to make progress in learning. As a proud disciple of Qi Baishi, Lou Shibai is naturally very familiar with the teacher's brushwork. However, Lou Shibai insisted on the principle of learning and copying teachers all his life, but he should never forge teachers' photos, although his copying might be a bit confusing.

"At that time, Mr. Baishi's paintings were very popular in the market, and many people came to buy paintings every day. One day, I showed my teacher some finished paintings. After reading them, the teacher put them on the list. It happened that Mr. Yi Tian from Lunchizhai in Liulichang came, but he mistakenly thought it belonged to Mr. Baishi and repeatedly asked for two. The teacher chose a picture of "Reed Frog" from the book, and wrote an inscription in his own hand: "A disciple who is less pregnant can confuse my reason without faking it, and his disciple is also a gentleman. "

Feeding ducks on the farm also draws ducks.

Red acrylic for maple leaf painting

The reporter saw in "Lou Shibai's Works" that castor, ducks, deer, even ostriches and penguins have become the objects depicted by Lou Shibai. It is reported that these themes have never been involved by Qi Baishi. Lou Shibai's wife complained to reporters: "In the 1960s, Lou Shibai was sent to the farm to feed ducks. When he came back in the evening, he had been drawing ducks. There are so many duck works at home that I'm a little tired of him. A friend came home with a big surprise. He joked that Lou Shibai paper duck would be replaced by Quanjude roast duck in the future. Unexpectedly, after so many years, his paintings can really be replaced with tens of thousands of roast ducks. "

Lou Shibai said: "1957 When Baishi died, I began to try to create. When I went to the countryside to experience life that year, I found that castor is a treasure, and I thought of the beautiful character of human beings, so I started to create with this as the theme. This painting is the first one I left for my former model. But the change is based on inheritance, not groundless. For example, when Qi Baishi painted a chicken, he painted a paper full of chickens with little background. My current painting will add some background to give the chicken a specific environment, so the artistic conception will be different. In terms of color, I mixed watercolor and gouache on the basis of ink painting. I used red acrylic pigment for the first time when I painted maple leaves in Vancouver: I also used fluorescent color as an exception when I painted bees and found a new sense of color. "

Why are you in such a hurry to learn western painting?

Picasso studied the white stone.

When the reporter mentioned the media and the public's preference for western painting in recent years, and the price gap between Chinese painting and western oil painting in the art market, Lou Shibai was a little excited: "Now, with bad habits and eager to learn from the west, he calls himself Picasso, as if there was only one Picasso in the whole painting world in the 20th century. In fact, Picasso, the most popular painter in the west in the 20th century, also copied Qi Baishi's paintings. When Picasso saw Zhang Daqian, he showed Zhang Daqian the copied works and said that "art is in the East". He doesn't understand why so many China painters go to Paris to study painting. Picasso has a deep realistic foundation. Many of his early works were realistic, and his painting style only changed in his later years. Many of our young people are eager to seek success before learning painting, and engage in abstract deformation in the name of connecting with the world, thinking that the deeper, the more distorted and the more fashionable. "

The reporter asked Lou Shibai what health care methods he had. At the age of 90, he smiled like a child and said, "Draw and walk." He told reporters that painting can concentrate the brain and is good for the body, which is equivalent to practicing Qigong. Walking has two meanings, one is walking, and the other is traveling. I take a walk after dinner almost every day, visit relatives in Canada every year, and last year I went to Xinjiang, and I didn't feel tired by train.

2. Qi Lao's painting theory is false and true.

The beginning of things

Mr. Qi Baishi, a master of Chinese painting in China, once went to the south of Beijing on business. It doesn't matter if you go, but it leads to a story.

Coincidentally, in the street stalls, some people sell Qi Baishi's paintings. At first glance, they are all fake paintings. This damaged Qi Lao's reputation and made him very angry. He snapped, "Why do you pretend to be my name and sell fake paintings here to deceive people?"

A glib painter.

The painter frowned, got a plan, smiled and solemnly defended a set of words. How did Qi always hear it? Unexpectedly, he was so angry that he said nothing. So, what will a glib mouth spit out? Please think for 5 minutes, and then make your guess.

Zhang Haibo-he said, "My family is very poor. I have an old mother, a wife and children, and I am old and have no life. I came up with this business to make a living. For the sake of your wife and children, please keep quiet and save our lives. " Qi Lao was very sympathetic and relieved.

Su Kang-This kind of words can dispel anger, but it is not enough to make Qi Lao "silent". Silence shows that the painter used creative thinking and came up with some truth in the "completely rude" predicament. I think he can say, "Your old gentleman's painting is so noble that even if you spend 25 hours in 1 day, the people in the hinterland of Lebanon still can't see it and look down on it." To put it simply, I have never heard of your name. I describe your painting for sale, and the price is cheap. Rich people here can buy it and go home, and those who have no money can visit my stall and feast their eyes. In this way, many working people can enjoy the beauty of your paintings, and your name will remain in their hearts forever. Did I hurt you or help you? "

Chen Qianqian-Zhang Haibo said low-key, Su Kang said medium-key, and I think there is still high-key. The seller said, "You said it was a fake painting, yes, it was a fake painting. The fake is that you didn't draw it yourself, but you signed it, that's all. " But you know, that's not the most important thing. The point is, is my fake painting not as good as yours? How bad is it? Ok, please take a closer look at every painting I draw, every stroke. If you can find something different from what you drew yourself, you are willing to punish me, and I am at your disposal. "At this point, his old hurriedly bent down, carefully check up one by one. As a result, based on his half-century experience, he was convinced that it was not "indistinguishable from the true", nor was it "indistinguishable from the true", or even "lifelike", but was simply drawn by himself. Qi Lao sighed in his heart: "Even my own family can't reach such a state. It can be said that the fake is not fake! "

Xu Yang-I think it has a high reputation. I only heard the seller say, "Please look at my painting first, and it's not too late to theorize." . Qi Lao looked at the picture and was surprised. Qi Lao is thinking. The painter said, "Your painting has reached the peak of your art, which is admirable. But you know, art has no end. As you can see, my painting has made up for every flaw in your original work, and I have always been loyal to your original work, without missing any flaws. I can't hide it from you. You can see at a glance now how difficult it is. Only you can measure it. "

Min Rui-the painter will add, "My painting is better than yours, and the price is almost equal to free. So, should I still be blamed? "

Liu Chang-The Painters' Association added, "The fact today is that there is an old saying:' shine on you is better than blue'. You won't be angry about it! "

Zhu Qi, the painter's superior painting level, was tempered on the basis of being a teacher without knowing the teacher. It can be seen that his alignment is always extremely revered. Therefore, in the face of the long-heard master, you will not say anything disrespectful. Min Rui, the supplement of Liu Chang, should be converted to the perspective of Ji Lao, who said. What the painter wants to add is his own growth experience: "When I was 5 years old, I occasionally saw two shrimps painted by a master, which made me feel mysterious and I liked painting from then on." No doubt, that's all. After the age of 50, Mr. Fang De really said, "I sincerely hope that my disciples will surpass themselves. Investment is power, so there is today's work. "

Zhang Yue-Super High Posture is about the super master of painting. How can such a master set up a stall?

The painter said

If we continue the discussion, there will be many novel ideas. So, what did the painter say at that time? He said, "Teacher Qi, you are so unreasonable! Yes, these are all fake paintings. You must understand that all great painters are not forged by others. The more people make fakes, the greater his fame; No one made his fake paintings. Besides, my paintings sell very cheaply. Why are you angry when rich people still buy your original paintings? This sentence actually made Mr. Qi angry and silent. "

Unexpected result

It is better to look at his paintings than to listen to him. Qi Lao picked up a painting from the ground and said, "Let me see how you draw it?" Yes, how did he draw it? How to end this dispute? Think for five minutes and continue to express your speculation.

Wang Yan-Qi Lao looked at it, and the painting was smeared and smeared, which was very inferior. Then he said, "You cheat the world, steal fame, cheat money, have a glib tongue and make excuses at random. Close the stall quickly and stop selling, otherwise I will sue you. "

Liu Han-no. No one cares about the poor painting, and the seller will not sell it if it is unprofitable. In fact, it is like this: "When Qi Lao looked at it, he knew in his heart that the painter's painting level was too poor and full of flaws. But the meticulous painting is based on the creative framework of the original and the careful handling of every detail. Therefore, the aesthetic feeling is still very clear on paper. So he warned him: "If you are really interested in painting, you should start with the basic skills and work hard. You can't do such shameful things again. "

Xiong Tingting-These statements are based on the fact that painters still have a certain level of painting. Who would risk embarrassing a painter with a certain level? So, I didn't know who he was until I saw his painting. Just listen to him, like a profiteer. At that time, his old man was scared by him. Just looking at the painting is unsightly, which is really a blasphemy to the old art. The old-fashioned man grabbed his hand and said angrily, Come with me to meet this official. As a result, the seller of fake paintings went to prison.

Zhai Xingyu, a great painter, always keeps a beautiful heart. Seeing that his paintings also have some characteristics, I turned to them and kindly accepted him as the staff of my studio. First, it can get rid of its ugly business and slowly cultivate its beautiful morality and temperament; Secondly, he can get a fixed income and support his family. Thinking of this, Qi Lao asked, "Will I ask you to be my helper?" The painter froze and didn't believe his ears. His old man said, and repeated the exact words. When the man heard clearly, he fell to his knees. He repeatedly said, "Thank you for your great kindness. Before, I only knew the beauty of your paintings. Today, I know that your heart is more beautiful. " Qi Lao helped him up, as if he were old, and gave birth to a new arm, and suddenly he felt a lot stronger.

Xifeng-Everyone looks on the bright side. In fact, if you have a guilty conscience, the painter will know that something is wrong when he sees Qi Lao's painting, and he will be born to die if he corrects his legal responsibility. Thirty-six plans are the best policy. Run into the house while Qi Lao is unprepared. He knew that Qi was old and old, and he didn't catch up with him, so he was lucky to be out of jail. Qi Lao wanted to fulfill him, but he was full of good intentions Call him back as soon as you run away. By this time, the painter had run away. As a result, the painter felt lucky and Qi Lao felt uneasy. This is the true and false white stone, which met in the south of the city and broke up in discord, making it difficult to get married.

The real result of the matter is this: Qi Lao looked at it and said, "It's quite interesting. Tell you what, I'll take you as an apprentice. " Hearing this, the man kowtowed to the old man when he came down.

Enlighten people

Qi Baishi's story of accepting disciples and its related discussions give us a lot of enlightenment.

1, unique or unique

Unique is the spirit and life of art, and imitation, plagiarism and repetition have always been the enemies of artistic creation. Divergent thinking, which lives alone at the head of creative thinking, is unique, and its performance is mostly to put forward novel and unconventional new ideas when solving problems.

The old man Baishi actually accepted the fake painting seller who defiled his reputation as a disciple. Behind this unique way of dealing with problems is his unique thinking. Writing is a creative labor with active thinking and emotion, which requires not only obtaining materials through observation, but also enriching materials through imagination and conceiving materials through association. Imagination, association and creation are the trilogy of thinking.

At the same time, we should also realize that painting art is an art based on imagination. Mr. Qi Lao not only condensed his superb imagination into his works, but also saw the bright spot in this short story. The act of accepting disciples has rich imagination connotation. At the moment he accepted the apprentice, the wings of imagination flew to the painter's distant past experience, and also showed the possible course of the new apprentice's future development.

Mr. Li Kuchan, who loves art, is a flower and bird painter and a real beginner of Qi Baishi. He is also a famous amateur, specializing in copper hammers. He believes that art is interlinked: he finds the rhythm of brushwork in the characters who play with steel forks; When he touched the dye, he revealed the traces of euphemistic singing. However, he couldn't figure out why this flower-and-bird painting inspired the political consciousness of China people.

Mr. Li Kuchan is the most proud disciple of Mr. Qi Baishi, and Mr. Qi praised him like this:

There are hundreds of disciples in my school, and people all learn from me. England also took my heart, England passed me, and England was invincible. If Britain is not famous in the future, there will be no ghosts and gods between heaven and earth! Mr Li Kuchan, a teacher praised more than one student. It should be added that Mr. Li Kuchan's name at that time was Li Ying. Later, according to Mr. Ai Qing's memory, Mao Zedong paid great attention to Qi Baishi, an old man in Xiangtan, his hometown. Perhaps because Mr. Qi Lao is an honorary professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, he is embarrassed to immediately smash the rice bowl for these flower and bird painters who are really useless to the new society or new regime. It is said that Mr Li Kuchan once lost his teaching post. He once wrote a letter to Mao Zedong himself. When uncle Li was young, he worked in France affiliated to Peking University for several months.

At first, he and Mao Runzhi wanted to go to France for work-study programs. However, in view of the "complicated product flow" of these students at that time, the French authorities actually had a group of peasant revolutionary activists like Mao Zedong, who decided not to issue visas to all students for fear of affecting the stability of the domestic situation in France.

It is true that history cannot be rewritten and time cannot be turned back. If Mao Zedong had gone to study in France, he might have listened to Zhou Enlai and Deng Xiaoping after the founding of the People's Republic of China? But who knows the mystery of history? Who knows what will happen between his squares?

At that time, Mr. Li Kuchan wrote a letter to Mao Runzhi in those days: Since Chiang Kai-shek cares about my affairs, I have to find you. ...

At the time of the founding of the People's Republic of China, human feelings were still very strong, and they were all more like ordinary people, and they had not yet been cultivated into people made of that special material. Under the questioning of his old classmates, Li Kuchan managed to keep his job at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

1April, 95015th, the Central Academy of Fine Arts was established, with Mr. Xu Beihong as president, Comrade Jiang Feng as vice president and Mr. Wu Zuoren as dean. I think my father is a great revolutionary. The meaning of this sentence at that time was the craziest fun at that time. In the eyes of children, Laozi is the best in the world. I guess Lao Tzu is the best in the world, and that's how this sentence came from. Later, for some reason, people began to call themselves Laozi. Those people may have mixed up with me. What are the benefits of being an old man? When you are Lao zi, will you be the best in the world? Funny, I'm in pain for a while and I can't tell you clearly. I won't know how I feel until you have a son. If I mean Mr. Li Er, I can accept that he is the best in the world. Explain that you think his old gentleman's philosophy is more to your taste, and each has its own merits. You have the right to say so, or he can change this sentence to: Zhuangzi is the best in the world. He also has a good one. My dad wore Huang Jun to the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and he never mentioned it to me. Later, he became a civil servant and became a superior. So his subordinates are particularly enthusiastic about me. Some people think that I am more confused than my father, so they tell me quietly that my father has a high prestige and a prominent position in these two acres of land. Who was not happy to hear that at that time? In fact, we have forgotten Laozi's philosophy: happiness is the source of disaster. At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, artists jointly created 195 1 Long live the victory of the Korean People's Army in Chinese people's Volunteer Army. These artists who came together cooperated in a poster to resist US aggression and aid Korea, which is their unprecedented cooperation under the new policy of artistic development. This work is long live the victory of the Korean People's Army in Chinese people's Volunteer Army. The author published it like this: Dong, Li Ruinian, Hua Tianyou, Li Keran, Huang Jun, Wu Guanzhong.

For the painters from Yan 'an, painting this kind of revolutionary propaganda painting is really familiar, but it is really a new attempt and start for the professors of the former National Art Institute. You think these painters are not a kind of painting, let alone a style.

Mr. Dong is an oil painter, and painting posters is of course his specialty. Mr. An Tian and Ms. Zou Peizhu are sculptors, somewhat reluctantly; Mr. Li Keran, a landscape painter, has a great intention of driving ducks to the shelves. Fortunately, he has some foundation in character modeling, and he has also sketched characters in the past. Mr Li Kuchan's specialty is freehand brushwork of flowers and birds. He is used to the artistic language of Badashan people, so don't dye American imperialism as a black-eyed chicken. Mr. Huang Jun's specialty is to draw lines with heavy colors, at least to outline; Mr. Tian Shiguang's meticulous flowers and birds can only be hooked together; Mr. Wu Guanzhong was sober at that time. At this time, he can't throw away the French stippling on this poster. Mr. Li Ruinian is an oil painter who came back from Brussels. Like Mr. Wu, he should relax. Now, seeing this poster created by the collective, I seem to see that the whole people are United in common enemy and are in high spirits. After these painters were registered, they didn't just take a shower. Take alexei tolstoy's words on the title page of his novel: they have to-

Blood blisters three times, alkali blisters three times, clean water three times, can be washed clean. Alas, the revolution is not easy. Later, I heard that yenching university was soon abolished and merged with Peking University in the city, which is now Peking University. Life in Tsinghua is hard, too. The bath water there is definitely much hotter than here. After all, the teachers of the Central Academy of Fine Arts are still a group of well-behaved craftsmen in the eyes of the new China leaders, and they are closer to the workers and peasants than the doctors who came back from studying abroad.

If Mr. Mao Zedong hadn't carried on the mass movement that turned upside down later and made them paint so seriously, what kind of historical track would these painters leave behind? What kind of mental journey will you experience? Where will it eventually go? I can't imagine.

At the same time, Mr. Xu Beihong, Mr. Li Hua, Mr. Ai Zhongxin, Mr. Xia Tongguang and other painters also cooperated in the poster "More Serious Strike and Lessons for Warmongers". In wartime, the painter's task is to support the front line and educate the people. Look at it. It is hard to imagine that these two posters are the masterpieces of these artists. This is indeed an unprecedented cooperation, absolutely. Groups of free intellectuals, in the courtyard of Tsinghua Peking University, in colleges and universities, in scientific research units and cultural units, take a bath while adapting to the current water temperature. They first looked at Mr. Zhang, who was dragged out and said that he had committed espionage, but he was not arrested and stayed at home to control. This is wartime. Everyone takes a bath with hot water and slowly rubs the mud off their bodies. Who dares to say no? No one can believe Mr. Zhang's self-defense and no one will listen. The freelance artist of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, no matter where he came from or what he painted, really took a hot bath. We were too young to see it. We just heard the old people say that Mr. Wang Linyi, a sculptor who was forced back from France, knelt on the stage of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a shovel and called him a corrupt criminal. His French wife Wang Henei sat calmly under the stage, waiting for him to go home no matter how long. When the shadow of the old tree was oblique, the old couple walked east along Dongdan Third Road, crossed the intersection and returned to the small courtyard of Qifenglou Hutong. The names of many hutongs in Beijing make you ponder.

This time, this group of artists who have lived in Beijing for a long time have opened their eyes. For this group of people from Yan 'an, this is still a piece of cake, but it is indeed the mildest necessary procedure for fighting landlords in land reform.

People say that he embezzled the people's millet and the millet to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea at the present moment of the great enemy. Fortunately, before he could commit suicide, the exercise passed. Naturally, the relevant personnel apologized again. Everyone misunderstood and remained good comrades. This is Wang Mazi's pattern in the late Yan 'an Movement, and people have seen it. It was a brilliant move, which saved the prestige of the party and did not wronged a good man. At the same time, it also makes everyone understand that the dictatorship of the proletariat is so majestic. Look at those old party member, Liu Qingshan and Zhang Zishan who were shot. Founding heroes become corrupt officials, and they don't let go of any kind of bad guys. Beijing Hutong-Fuyu Hutong in Dongcheng District/No.0/9 Lao She's former residence (provided by Li Yuxiang) Whenever there is a holiday, the gray hutong in Beijing will pick out the bright five-star red flag and display it in the unique sandstorm in Beijing.

4. Remembering Master Baishi

Liushudu

1927, introduced by Comrade Li Kuchan, I studied seal cutting with the old man Baishi. At that time, I was studying at Beijing Women's Normal University and groped for seal cutting in my spare time.

After the age of 60, Mr. Baishi specialized in block printing in Han Dynasty. After he accepted me as an apprentice, he asked me to study China Brick seriously and lay a good foundation. Among modern seal engravers, the teacher told Zhao? My uncle, Huang Mufu and others are more respected. They want me to learn from them. The teacher told me many times that seal cutting has a long history in China. To learn it well, we must learn from others. Now that you are my student, of course you should learn from me, but you shouldn't learn Qi Baishi to death. That's what the teacher did himself. Although he specializes in Han and India, he was not caught by it, but he was able to jump out of the box and make bold innovations in seal cutting and knife cutting.

I remember going to my teacher's house as soon as I was free, and holding my Indra (homework) for the teacher to evaluate in person. Sometimes when I see the teacher drawing, I leave Indra with the teacher, and he writes some comments when he is free. In this way, after a long time, I have a lot of printed books that teachers have corrected. I have always treasured these printed books, but after ten years of catastrophe, there are only two left. Now open these two volumes of printed music and reread the teacher's comment on writing fifty years ago. It's really full of emotion. Among them, nearly 100 seals were printed, and almost all of them were written in detail, including affirmation, praise, criticism and guidance, and some of them even drew a demonstration of seal script. From the teacher's powerful personal comments, we can see how carefully he corrects my homework.

Teachers have the habit of printing, usually in the early morning or at night, so although I often go to his house, I have never seen him print with my own eyes, which is a pity. A few years later, I finally found an opportunity to ask the teacher to seal the "White Stone Disciple" for me on the spot, so that I could see with my own eyes how the teacher seals characters and uses knives, which was greatly inspired. On the edge of this seal, the teacher wrote: Yu Yue: The sage still has the strength to teach literature, and I am ashamed of his skill of carving insects. Besides, he can be a teacher and live longer than a stone. Shu said: I don't care, it has already been printed (disciple Baishi), which was carved by the master. Please pay more attention to the scale. I have nothing more to say, but I will publish it and remember it. I was deeply moved by this modest attitude. Later, the teacher also carved a seal for me, and I still have these two seals.

After graduating from college, I became a middle school teacher and still insisted on managing India after work. I also carved two seals for Mr. Lu Xun. Teacher Baishi thinks that my seal cutting has made great progress in recent years and has taken pains to write confessions and recommendations for me many times. 193 1 at the end of the year, I want to make a book out of the prints carved in the past few years. At that time, the teacher who was nearly seventy years old wrote a short preface for me with great interest. The article said: "Craftsman spirit never belongs to a scholar, and a woman is unheard of, that is, orchids painted by Ma Xianglan and bamboos painted by Guan Furen. As soon as I saw that it was a woman, I wanted to see the boudoir and open a scholar. Liu Shudu, a master of seal cutting, is a beginner of China ancient law, and often presents the rest in the form of printing and extension. The seal cutter has no children and no daughters, taking the advantages of the ancients and abandoning the shortcomings of the imitation method, making it unique in the boudoir. " It should be said that I didn't actually make a teacher's evaluation, which is really shameful, but can't you clearly see the teacher's enthusiastic encouragement and ardent expectations for students from here?

Now, I am over 80 myself, and I have carved nearly a thousand seals in my life. If I have made some achievements in seal cutting, it is inseparable from the education and training of teachers.
