Matters needing attention in essential hypertension:
Reasonable diet
(1) To limit the intake of sodium salt, we must first reduce the edible salt, and the daily salt consumption per person should not exceed 6g.
(2) Reduce dietary fat, supplement proper amount of protein, eat more vegetables and fruits, and get enough potassium, magnesium and calcium.
(3) limit drinking. Alcohol intake is linearly related to blood pressure level and hypertension prevalence. Patients should abstain from alcohol or strictly limit alcohol consumption.
lose weight
Weight gain is closely related to hypertension, and losing weight in hypertensive patients is beneficial to improve insulin resistance, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and left ventricular hypertrophy. It can be achieved by reducing the daily intake of calories and salt and strengthening physical activity.
by oneself
Exercise can not only reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure (about 6-7 mmHg), but also help to lose weight, enhance physical strength and reduce insulin resistance. You can choose different ways such as jogging, brisk walking and Tai Ji Chuan according to your age and physical condition. Exercise frequency is generally 3-5 times a week, which is beneficial to lose weight, and each time lasts for 20-60 minutes.
