Recalling my autobiography under the Phoenix Mountain —— In memory of my high school life.
Text/Ding Xingna

"The beautiful Phoenix Mountain is the cradle of our growth; Clear stream ... "This is the school song we sang in those days, as if it were still in our ears; Fenghua Middle School (formerly known as Fenghua No.1 Middle School, referred to as No.1 Middle School) has moved to the northern end of Taoyuan Road by Jinxi River at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain. And I am one of the last students who graduated at the foot of Phoenix Mountain.

Most of the knowledge in high school has been forgotten; What remains in the deepest memory is only the beautiful scenery of "One Middle School", the poor life and the overlapping youth images.

Fenghua Middle School was founded in 190 1, formerly known as Jinlong School. It is one of the earliest schools in eastern Zhejiang and a first-class key middle school in Zhejiang Province. Fenghua No.1 Middle School was founded in 1958, and the school is located in the current district government. 1962 The school moved to Jinxi River at the east foot of Fengshan in Fengcheng, and then moved to the north end of Taoyuan Road. Moved to Xiaoyun Road new campus in19.

The first time I went to "No.1 Middle School", my cousin, who was studying there, secretly took me there, but she hurried to go through the admission formalities herself. At that time, I was still young, eight or nine years old, wrapped in a tweed coat, hiding quietly in the dormitory for fear of being discovered. The time was so long that it was unbearable ... after a burst of footsteps and laughter, the door opened. Several female students bumped into me standing in front and were surprised: "Who is it?" I hurried to call my cousin, who smiled and explained, "Cousin Allah." He pulled me over again and said, "Don't scare people." . Thus, in my memory, this scene became eternal: a group of female students, tall and young, stood in front of me like a group of noble and beautiful white swans.

The second time I went to "No.1 Middle School", I was already a junior high school student. In order to inspire us, the head teacher led some people to visit "No.1 Middle School". It was a Saturday morning, it had just rained, and the air was fresh and humid; The campus is very quiet, and there are still many students studying silently in the teaching building. The motto on the wall is "diligence, love, honesty and simplicity". In my eyes, No.1 Middle School is so beautiful and charming. It's right in front of me, within reach! But our mood is a little depressed and sad, because the admission rate of No.1 Middle School is extremely low. Most of us just come here to have a look. Yes, just looking! Although I have this confidence, who can be completely sure of the exam? Finally, of the more than 200 students in the same session, only 4 were admitted to "No.1 Middle School"; Fortunately, I am one of them.

The third time I went to "No.1 Middle School" was when school started. My mother and I packed our bags and settled there. The school building of "No.1 Middle School" is surrounded by mountains and waters, with fresh air and neat school buildings, which fully embodies the inherent rationality, simplicity and rigor in architectural style. The girls' dormitory is located halfway up the Phoenix Mountain. White cement is poured step by step until a big platform made of cement, and a white four-story new building rises on the platform. Next to the dormitory is a two-story "Peiben Library", surrounded by tall and straight bamboos, and under the bamboos is a stream surrounded by streams.

At the other end of Phoenix Mountain, there are Sun Yat-sen Park and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, as well as "Jinping Night Clock". Every hour, there will be a "Dangdang" sound, which is heavy and loud and travels far away. A few years later, I described the scenery around the dormitory in my homesick essay "Silent Night Thinking":

? Under the frosty moon and a blue Wan Li night sky, Peiben Library occupies the softest hillside and touches the scenic Phoenix Mountain. The cool Jinxi River haunts the library, making a gurgling sound, silently nourishing the heroic bamboo forest outside the library. A cool breeze blew, and the bamboo swayed its slender body, rubbing against each other intimately and rustling. The slender bamboo leaves are printed on the flat concrete floor by moonlight, and the faint shadows are interwoven into a colorful and fresh picture scroll.

? The faint sweet-scented osmanthus fragrance, with the wind stopping, sometimes thick and sometimes light, permeates the valley; Loud cicadas, shuttling in the depths of the jungle, suddenly far and near, one after another. Suddenly, the night bell in Jinping broke the silence, and the ringing bell echoed in the faint valley.

For a person engaged in literature and art, the scenery in his hometown is really important. This matter is not without roots. I think it is the beautiful scenery of my hometown that cultivates my original spirit and gives me the original ability to perceive the mysterious changes of nature. This understanding and tacit understanding with nature is rooted in my heart and is the basis of my literary research and creation. Anyway, I'm contaminated with the atmosphere here.

If the beauty of my hometown has cultivated my soul, how has my three years of high school life shaped my life? In the final analysis, my personality and my belief in life are inseparable from this kind of life.

High school life is austere and rigorous, and there is almost no leisure in the middle. Time is divided into cells, and each cell has a fixed content. The school implements "militarized management" for boarders, getting up at 5: 30 in the morning and all taking part in morning running; After breakfast, self-study in the morning, four classes in the morning, self-study during lunch break, four classes in the afternoon, dinner, bathing and washing clothes, self-study from 6 pm to 9 pm, self-study in dormitory lighting, 10 lights out. After the lights are turned off, we also use the rechargeable lights, wrapped in the bed and secretly read books to avoid being seen by the people in the rounds. Later, it simply developed into a toilet collective reading.

What impressed me most was early exercise. As soon as the horn in the east of the school rings, we have to get up if we live in the west. Fold the quilt, wash, go to the toilet, turn on the water and run to the playground for fifteen minutes. Young people always lack sleep. Especially in the biting winter, there are still a few faint stars in the dark night sky. Everyone shrank all the way, their faces were red with cold, and they ran to the playground. When the horn stops, the playground gate will be closed. But there are always several students scrambling to squeeze in and find their own team in the hazy sky. There are two dazzling searchlights in front of the podium. Several teachers stood in front of the lamp, asked them to count off and started running early. The asphalt road on the runway gives off a deep and faint light in the dim light. At the end of the 800-meter morning run, randomly selected individual classes stayed on the rostrum to count the number of people again. Sometimes, people are "borrowed". The so-called "borrowing" means that the number of classes randomly selected is insufficient, and students from other classes are invited to make up the number. You will pretend to be a future student when you call the roll, otherwise you will be deducted.

The only thing to be thankful for is that you don't have to practice early in rainy days. We could have slept a little longer, but that damn horn often made us misunderstand. I left the room because the horn on the playground rang; We thought we should exercise as usual, and got up one after another. We didn't know it was raining until they walked out of the room, so the horn came to an abrupt end. There was a lot of abuse in the dormitory here, and then someone fell asleep.

As for life, it is extremely simple, just like the so-called "frugality and morality". The living expenses of each student should be controlled at around 150-200 yuan per month, which is relatively small. Riding a bike home for an hour and a half every other week not only saves a few dollars in bus fare, but also exercises. I will ask my parents for 50 yuan's living expenses every week and divide it into seven days after I come back. How much to eat and how to spend each meal are carefully calculated, otherwise the weekend will not last. I became good friends with a sister in the third grade of primary school. She only buys food once a day, eats half at noon and the rest at night. But she is so kind and enthusiastic, she often gives me her own cooking, and she is never stingy with her friends. In retrospect, what I miss most is the friendship between my classmates.

Three years of dull high school life has a great influence on my life. My basic character and temperament are also formed between them. I left home very early and started a collective life, so I am very independent, hard-working, hard-working, persevering and clear-headed, which will help me tide over many difficulties in the future.

We all hope to develop ourselves in famous middle schools, famous universities and famous enterprises. Why? In addition to the hardware conditions, the most important thing is that the people you contact are different. The ability, mentality and way of doing things of these excellent people will be imprinted in your mind one by one, which will become the criterion in your heart and the reference for action.

Hearing, experience and hearsay are two different things.

First of all, the teacher. I was deeply impressed by geography teacher Ruan Jianzhong, Chinese teacher Li Zifang, physics teacher Zhang and political teacher Xiao. People say that teachers are "leading by example", which is true. I forgot what the teacher said, but the rigorous logic, clear thinking, neat writing on the blackboard and refined teaching in class made me develop a precise and rigorous mind. Because of the "No.1 Middle School" bias, I studied liberal arts, but at that time there were no fewer people studying mathematics, physics and chemistry than science, which was a great exercise for my thinking. When I grow up, people say that I am "rational", which is actually formed in high school and is also the result of being deeply influenced by teachers.

Secondly, talk about peers. Zhejiang people are smart and diligent, and the students of No.1 Middle School are the epitome of Zhejiang people. At that time, I came into contact with many students with extremely high IQ, extremely diligent and excellent personality. When I say "talent", I don't mean getting top grades in a certain course, but I do have the innate qualification to engage in a certain kind of research. In a middle school with a lot of talents, you will understand that the efforts the day after tomorrow are just icing on the cake. At the same time, you will step up to explore your talents and find your own place to live; Even if you achieve something in the future, you can have an accurate positioning of yourself and your career so that you won't be ignorant.

For example, a boy with great talent in mathematics, Zhu Lubin. It should be said that he was born for mathematics! He showed his talent in mathematics very early. In junior high school, he was on an equal footing with his math teacher. Only the teacher can solve the problem quickly, but the path is different. In his spare time, he lies prone on his desk and does not move to solve math problems. This is his way of leisure. Solving problems is not a chore, but a natural pleasure. When the class teacher gave us a lecture, he said, "For example, in mathematics, I don't want you to compete with Zhu Lubin. That person's brain structure is different from others! " Unfortunately, heaven envies talents. Zhu Lubin unfortunately got leukemia. When he was in hospital, he said that his only wish was the college entrance examination, and it didn't matter whether he passed the exam or not. But for various reasons, he was unable to attend. I can understand the great regret that a person missed the college entrance examination after studying hard for three years. He died soon after we were admitted to the university. But in my memory, there will always be such a boy who is smart, kind and shy, speaks softly, always guards his desk and is persistent in solving math problems. And those of us who are not dead bear his desire to enter the university campus.
