General situation of Expo
Bozhou is located at the junction of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan and Anhui provinces. In May, 2000, it was established as a prefecture-level city with the approval of the State Council, which governs Yang Guo, Mengcheng, Lixin and Qiaocheng, with a land area of 8,374 square kilometers and a population of 5.76 million.
Bozhou is a national historical and cultural city. Yang Guo and Mengcheng are provincial historical and cultural cities. It has a history of more than 3700 years since "all businessmen are in Bo".

The planting area of Chinese herbal medicines in the city accounts for about110, the annual output of Chinese herbal medicines accounts for about 1/3, and the annual turnover and export volume of Chinese herbal medicines account for about 1/4. A relatively complete industrial system integrating planting, processing, sales, scientific research, exhibition, tourism and health care has been initially formed.
The city's medicinal planting area is nearly one million mu, and there are more than 800 specialized villages for medicinal planting.
