But in fact, there is no record of zhou wenbin in history. He is just a fiction of later generations. In fact, the real four talents in Jiangnan are Tang Bohu, Zhu Zhishan, Wen Zhiming and Xu Zhenqing. Because all four of them live in Suzhou, they are also called the four great talents in southern Jiangsu.
We saw some interesting stories between them in film and television dramas, but what was their final ending in history?
I. Tang Bohu
Speaking of Tang Bohu, many people may think of him in the movies.
Tang Bohu in the movie is an out-and-out Gao Fushuai. He married eight wives and finally ordered Chou-heung to go home. He is simply a winner in life. But what is the real Tang Bohu like? Is the antonym of this version.
The real Tang Bohu is not handsome. Degang Guo once said, I have seen the portrait of Tang Bohu. Isn't a fat man with a beard worse than me? It's true.
When Tang Bohu was young, his family opened a bar. So his family wants to train a scholar to worship their ancestors. When Tang Bohu was young, his father sent Tang Bohu to school.
Tang Bohu is also very competitive. He was admitted as a scholar at the age of sixteen. At the age of eighteen, he found the love of his life and started a small family. At that time, Zhu Zhishan, Wen Zhiming and Xu Zhenqing were also called the four great talents in Jiangnan. It can be said that this is a time when life is full of ambition, so it seems that the movie is not completely deceptive.
But Tang Bohu's life was not smooth, and the turning point occurred when he was 24 years old. First, my parents died, then my sister died, and then my wife left during childbirth. In a short period of one year, Tang Bohu stayed alone in a busy home.
Later, with the encouragement of Zhu Zhishan, I cheered up and studied, and married my wife at this time. Many things happen. At the age of 28, he finally understood, which was equivalent to the first place in Jiangsu Province. Just when he went to Beijing for an exam, his tragedy began again.
He met a man named Xu Jing on the road. This man has a lot of money at home. As soon as he arrived in Beijing, he took Tang Bohu everywhere to visit some famous officials. This trip doesn't matter, Tang Bohu was inexplicably involved in an exam cheating case.
Cheating in exams in Ming and Qing Dynasties was a very serious mistake. The emperor pardoned him and issued an imperial edict forbidding Xu Jing and Tang Bohu to take the exam for life.
Tang Bohu's career path was blocked and he returned to his hometown in Suzhou. As a result, when he came home, his daughter-in-law saw that he was so down and out and had no future, so she took the initiative to divorce him. The official career was ruined, and the daughter-in-law left, leaving Tang Bohu alone.
He is so desperate that he can only go to Huajie Liuxiang to buy wine every day. Finally, all the money was gone, so I had to draw a little Huang Tu and change some money to buy drinks. It can be said that Tang Bohu in this period was just a tramp who painted erotic paintings for a living.
But Tang Bohu still hasn't given up on himself. He waited for a chance to make a comeback, so he waited and waited. When Tang Bohu was 45 years old, he was waiting for an opportunity.
That year, the emperor's uncle Wang Ning spent a lot of money and invited Tang Bohu to be his staff. Tang Bohu's hope was kindled again, so he hurried there. But he found a secret. King Ning hired so many people because he wanted to rebel.
Tang Bohu was so scared that he thought about how to get out. Later, there was nothing he could do, so he pretended to be crazy, ate shit and drank urine. And streaking in the street flirting with good women. Wang Ning had no choice but to kick him out, but he spent all his money and lost his reputation.
He can only go home to sell paintings for a living and live a hungry and fulfilling life. Finally, Tang Bohu died at home at the age of 53. Tang Bohu was brilliant, but his life was bumpy. It can be said that Tang Bohu's life was extremely miserable, and his talent ambition was finally reduced to ashes.
Second, Zhu Zhishan.
Zhu Zhishan, whose real name was Zhu Yunming, was a famous calligrapher in Ming Dynasty, and his cursive script was quite famous at that time.
And Zhu Zhishan is also very talented, and his talent is not lost to Tang Bohu in history. But he was born with six fingers on his left hand and was ugly, so he laughed at himself and nicknamed himself Shan Zhi.
Zhu Zhishan has been a clever man since he was a child. He can write poetry at the age of 9, 19 was admitted to a scholar.
However, after that, his career path was very bumpy. Before he was accepted by juren, he took five township exams. Later, he took seven exams and failed, while his son Zhu Xu was the top student in the previous science exam. Zhu Zhishan felt hopeless and even inferior to his son, so he completely gave up the idea of continuing the exam.
But Zhu Zhishan didn't give up his official career, he still wanted to enter the officialdom. Therefore, he later elected an official as a juren, was appointed as the magistrate of Xingning County, Guangdong Province, and was later promoted to judge Tianfu. After several years as an official, Zhu Zhishan gradually understood the darkness and corruption of officialdom.
And he doesn't want to go along with such behavior, so he doesn't have much expectation for being an official. Slowly, he got tired of officialdom and didn't want to get along with it, so he resigned as the county magistrate.
When he was not an official, he began to travel with frustrated Tang Bohu and helped Tang Bohu when he was down and out.
Later, Tang Bohu died of illness. Shortly after Tang Bohu's death, Zhu Zhishan also died at home at the age of 67. Although Zhu Zhishan's official career is not smooth, his life is smooth.
Third, Wen Zhiming.
Wen Zhiming is a second-generation official, and his father Lin Wen is a magistrate in Wenzhou. Although Wen Zhiming will be famous in the future, he is different from his good friend Tang Bohu and others. His childhood was not only not clever, but even a little silly.
It was not until he was ten years old that he showed his talent. At this time, under the careful guidance of his father's friends, he became proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. Four musts? many-sided person
However, Wen Zhiming's road to the imperial examination was really bumpy. He had the tragic experience of being last in the exam for ten times, which was really bumpy. It was not until the age of 54 that he was recommended by Li Chongsi, the then minister of the Ministry of Industry. As Gong Sheng, he was appointed as imperial academy after the exam.
It's really hard. It's official career anyway.
However, although Wen Zhiming entered imperial academy, he was modest, because he was excluded because he didn't serve the powerful. Wen Zhiming was also unhappy because of being excluded. Soon, he resigned and went home.
After returning to his hometown, Wen Zhiming devoted himself to poetry, calligraphy and painting. Because of his fame, people come to buy it in an endless stream. He likes this and that, comes to him for everything, and lives a leisurely life.
In the thirty-eighth year of Jiajing, when Wen Zhiming wrote an epitaph for his mother, the pen was put down before it was finished? Sit up and die? At the age of 90. Of the four gifted scholars, only Wen Zhiming has the longest life and the best ending.
Fourth, Xu Zhenqing.
Xu Zhenqing, a native of Changgu, is of Han nationality. He was a writer in the Ming dynasty, known as? Wuzhong poetry crown? He is also one of the four great talents in Jiangnan. What is his reason? Wen Jiangyan said Yangzhou Hua? Be praised for his quatrains.
To say that Xu Zhenqing is absolutely talented, he wrote Qian Xin Ji at the age of sixteen. But like Zhu Zhishan and Wen Zhiming, he took many exams in his early years, but he always failed. In the eighteenth year of Ming Hongzhi, he was finally admitted to Jinshi.
Although he was admitted to Jinshi, sadly, he didn't become an official because he was too embarrassed. At that time, the emperor felt that it was too humiliating to national dignity. He stood on the temple, and the emperor was afraid and always wanted to go to the toilet.
This can't be done, the emperor can't stand it, so the emperor finally said forget it, don't want you, don't be an official. So Xu Zhenqing didn't become an official because of his appearance.
Xu Zhenqing, who was not an official, began to believe in Taoism and study health preservation, but his life was short. He was the earliest of the four gifted scholars, and died in Ming Zhengde for six years at the age of 33. What an untimely death!
Although Xu Zhenqing was famous for his literary career, his life and career were not smooth, and he finally passed away with regret.
In fact, although they are all brilliant, they all have a common fault that their career paths are particularly unsatisfactory.
Especially Tang Bohu and Xu Zhenqing, for various reasons, directly ruined their careers. And Zhu Zhishan and Wen Zhiming, because see through the intrigue in officialdom, don't want to go through their lives in officialdom, finally take the initiative to dismiss, left the officialdom.
All four of them must have their own lofty aspirations. As a scholar, I always want to be an official and participate in politics and make a career. However, in the social environment at that time, the cause failed in the end. It can be said that all four of them are sad, they are personal sorrow, but also the sorrow caused by the inequality and darkness of the feudal system at that time.
