The Analects of Confucius is a part of Zhu's Notes on Four Books, which was finally written after more than 40 years of careful deliberation and word-for-word deliberation.
About the author:
Zhu, whose word is dark and in the middle, was originally from Wuyuan, Huizhou, and is now from Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province. Since his father's generation, he has been living in Nanjian, Fujian, which is now Nanping, Fujian. Born in the fourth year of Emperor Gaozong Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty 1 130, and died in the sixth year of Ningzong Qingyuan in the Southern Song Dynasty 1200. He has only been an official for nine years in his life and spent most of his time giving lectures in Fujian. In his later years, he was accused of being a leader of "pseudo-learning" and despised for opposing the establishment of Han Lun Zhou. At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Fu-ming respected Taoism. The Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties all praised Neo-Confucianism, which became the official school and the mainstream school of Confucianism in the later period. Zhu has a wealth of knowledge and writings, among which the important ones are Notes on Four Books, The Original Meaning of Zhouyi, A Compendium of Tong Jian, Notes on Chuci, Textual Research in Korean, etc. Later generations compiled his posthumous works as The Collection of Zhu Wengong and his quotations as Zhuzi Style. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty ordered Li Guangdi to compile The Complete Works of Zhu, which is an anthology of literary works and genres.
