However, I have some experience about children who don't drink water because my children don't like drinking water very much. Later, several methods were combined to finally stop the child's rejection of water, but it is definitely not the kind of child who loves to drink water.
First, drink water while playing games.
When parents feel that their children need to drink water, they play a game with their children, such as racing cars, and then say, "The car needs gas! Come on, baby! " Then make the action of refueling the car. Children think it's fun, so they don't reject the water sent to their mouths.
It can also be other games, such as the toy is thirsty, the little dinosaur is going to eat, and so on. All children's toys can be props to attract children to drink water.
Secondly, add some flavor to the water supply.
Some children don't like drinking boiled water, so parents can squeeze some apple juice or boil some pear water to drink. A few days I was particularly troublesome, so I added a little salt to the water directly, and the children drank well. However, don't put too much salt, just a little taste is good.
Some parents are more concerned, and the effect is really good. At the same time, let the children drink more water.
Third, use idols to make children drink more water.
Children usually like idols. My child liked the Monkey King very much for a while, and we would coax him every time. The Monkey King likes drinking water very much, otherwise he can't beat the monster. Hearing this, the child naturally drank water in order to get closer to his idol.
However, this trick is more suitable for older children, and eight-month-old children may not understand this.
Fourth, compete with children for water.
Every time I take my children out to play, I bring a big bottle of water. Children don't like to drink at home, but I can drink a lot when I go out to play with children. Several children competed for water. One started drinking, and the rest drank. Parents encouraged them to drink more vigorously.
Finally, parents should not force their children to drink.
The more parents force their children to drink water, the easier it is for them to feel that drinking water is a chore and resist it psychologically. When children don't want to drink, parents can say, we'll drink later. Never force children to drink, the more you force them, the less you force them.
When children drink water, parents should encourage and praise them in time, so that children feel that drinking water is fun, and children naturally like to drink it.
