This museum is one of more than 100 museums planned by Beijing, and it is the largest and richest museum of Shanxi merchants in the world. Covers account books, letters, manuscripts, tickets, seals, paper money, boat tickets, advertisements, packaging, plaques, currency, weighing instruments, measuring tools, calculators, transportation tools, ritual vessels of gods and buddhas, daily appliances and many other categories. These collections have devoted nearly 30 years of hard work and financial resources of many senior collectors, and almost all the treasures in the existing movable cultural relics of Shanxi merchants are included.
This park consists of nine independent buildings. Among them, Building 1 is the main building of the park, including the Shanxi Merchants Museum and a large-scale high-end club integrating exhibitions, conferences, theaters, cinemas and Chinese and Western restaurants; Building 2 is Shaolin vegetarian restaurant; Buildings 3 and 8 are antique commercial streets; Building No.4, Building No.5, Building No.6, Building No.7 and Building No.9 are high-end theme clubs such as mahogany, silk, Buddhism and traditional Chinese medicine. There are more than 40,000 seals, plates, documents, banknotes, contracts, account books, letters, ticket stickers, seals, bookkeeping, old photos and so on. In each historical development period of Shanxi merchants, it fully shows the wealth history story of Shanxi merchants who have dominated the shopping malls for 500 years.
