What are the health hazards of hyperlipidemia in the community?
Recently, the Dongjingting Community Red Cross Station invited doctors from the Line New Village Health Service Center to give a health knowledge lecture on the correct prevention of hyperlipidemia for middle-aged and elderly friends. The lecture was held in the conference room on the second floor of the community, and about 60 middle-aged and elderly friends attended the lecture.

The doctor will explain to you what hyperlipidemia is and its symptoms first. Hyperlipidemia, also known as dyslipidemia, refers to the abnormality of lipid quality in plasma, which must be combined with protein in the form of lipoprotein. Therefore, hyperlipidemia is actually manifested as dyslipidemia. Then I explained the symptoms of hyperlipidemia: dizziness, headache, fatigue, insomnia and forgetfulness. As a part of metabolic syndrome, hyperlipidemia often coexists with obesity, hypertension, coronary heart disease, impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes.

The doctor then explained to the elderly friends that hyperlipidemia is a common disease, and the most important thing is prevention. The key to prevention lies in developing a healthy lifestyle: First, a reasonable diet, usually try to control high-fat foods, that is, foods rich in cholesterol, such as egg yolk, fish eggs, animal fat, viscera, butter, cream and so on. Eat more low-fat foods such as vegetables, fruits, beans, bean products and coarse grains. Second, moderate exercise, too intense exercise can cause sudden death and myocardial infarction. Exercise should be continuous and orderly. Long-term exercise can prevent diabetes, hyperlipidemia and osteoporosis. Third, quit smoking and limit alcohol. Smoking can lead to atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, hypertension, lung cancer and other diseases. Passive smoking is as harmful as active smoking. Don't drink too much, let alone drink too much.
