After visiting her cousin (Jia Yuanchun), Lin Daiyu moved into Xiaoxiang Pavilion and was nicknamed Princess Xiaoxiang in the Grand View Garden Poetry Society. She was born with beautiful appearance and extraordinary poetic talent. She never advised Baoyu to take the road of feudalism as an official, disdaining official career economy. However, under the oppression of feudal ethics, Lin Daiyu suffered "severe mutual coercion between wind knife and frost sword", and finally died in tears on Jia Baoyu and Xue Baochai's wedding night.
2. Xue Baochai
Xue Baochai is Jia Baoyu's sister/aunt and wife, and her poem number is Heng. Beautiful appearance, elegant manners, meticulous mind. My father (Aunt Xue's father) died early. I have my mother (Aunt Xue) and my brother (Xue Pan). After Baochai went to Beijing, she stayed with her mother, Aunt Xue, and her brother, Xue Pan, and soon moved out.
She hung a golden lock with the words "Never Leave", which happened to be a pair. It was engraved with the words "Never forget, never forget, live in Heng Chang" on the jade that Jia Baoyu carried with him, meaning a good marriage. Later Jia Baoyu married Xue Baochai. Shortly after marriage, Baoyu became infatuated with Daiyu and eventually became a monk. Xue Baochai lived alone in an empty boudoir and died alone.
3. Jia Yuanchun
Jia Yuanchun is the eldest daughter of Jia Zheng and Mrs Wang, and Jia Yuanchun is Jia Baoyu's sister. Miss Jia fu. Raised by Mrs. Jia since childhood. She once taught Baoyu to read and write. Although he is a younger brother, he is like a mother and son. Later, because of her filial piety, she was elected to the palace as a female history. Soon, the date was named as the official book, and the virtuous princess was added. In order to welcome her to visit relatives in the province, the Jia family specially built a villa for relatives in the province, which later became the Grand View Garden. The luxury of this villa is so high that even Yuan Chun thinks it is too luxurious and expensive!
Although Yuan Fei brought Jia Fu "fuel the fire and spend brocade", she was imprisoned in the palace. When visiting relatives, she talked and cried, describing the palace ouchi as a "shady place" with no interest at all. After this visit, Princess Yuan never had a chance to leave the palace, and finally she died innocently in a political struggle.
4. Jia Tanchun
Jia Tanchun is Jia Baoyu's half-sister. Jia Tanchun was born to Jia Zheng's aunt Zhao and Miss Jia Fu. She is clever, scheming and decisive, and even Mrs. Wang and Feng have nicknamed her "Rose". Her poem is entitled "Banana Beggar". Wang Shanbao bullied her, touched her and got a slap on the spot; When she gave the order, the girl stepped forward to resist, which was quite ordinary.
She was deeply touched by the imminent collapse of Jia Mansion. She used the reform of "promoting advantages and eliminating disadvantages" to save it, which was quite effective with the help of Baochai. Back to the seventy-first time, when Jia Fu celebrated Jia Shishi's birthday, she was favored by the imperial concubine of Nan 'an, and was arranged to be the next princess of Nan 'an King, and then sent to the frontier.
5. Shi Xiangyun
Shi Xiangyun is Jia Baoyu's uncle and cousin, and Shi Xiangyun is Jia's granddaughter. She is the daughter of a rich family, but her parents died when she was a child. She was raised by her uncle Shi Ding, and her aunt treated her badly. At her uncle's house, she can't be the master at all, and she has to do needlework from time to time until midnight. Her life experience is somewhat similar to that of Lin Daiyu, but she is outspoken, cheerful and generous, mischievous, and even dares to sleep on the big bluestone in the garden after being drunk.
She is optimistic and cheerful, and lives most clearly among the twelve women in Jinling. She and Baoyu are also very close. When they are together, they are sometimes affectionate and sometimes annoyed. But with an open mind, she never cares about children. She married Wei, and finally he died of a sudden illness. Xiangyun was widowed and heartbroken. However, influenced by Baochai's optimistic spirit of "peace of mind even if she leaves", she gradually overcame the setbacks.
6. Miaoyu
Miaoyu is from Suzhou. Her ancestors were scholars and officials. Because I was sick since I was a child, I bought a lot of body pairs (in the old superstition, people who were doomed to disaster had to give their lives to become monks, and rich people bought children from poor families not to become monks, which was called body pairs), which was useless. I have to go into an empty net myself, so I am in good health, so I have been practicing with my hair. My parents are dead, and I have two old nurses and a little girl to wait on. She is proficient in pen and ink, familiar with classics and excellent in appearance. When I was seventeen, I went to Chang 'an to practice with Master. After Master died, he was invited by the Jia family to take him to the Jade Temple for practice.
Her jade-like personality can't tolerate any impurities, so much so that she wants to throw away the cup that Grandma Liu used. Elegant taste, tasting tea on Cui 'an, portraying her exquisite tea art, writing poems on Mid-Autumn Festival night, and shaping her image as a "fairy in a red chamber". Grandmother Jia was critically ill, and Miaoyu came to visit the sick uninvited. On the second day after the funeral of Grandmother Jia, Miaoyu was robbed by thieves, and Baoyu sighed sadly. The whereabouts are unknown. In the original work, it was written like this: I don't know if Miaoyu was robbed or insulted, or died unyielding. I don't know where to go, and it's hard to imagine.
7. Jia Yingchun
Jia Yingchun is Jia Baoyu's stepfather/uncle and sister, and Jia Yingchun was born to Jia She's concubine, Miss Jia Fu. She is honest, incompetent, timid and has a nickname "Ermu". She is not only inferior to her sisters in guessing poems, but also knows how to give in and be bullied.
Her pearls and jewels were gambled by the wet nurse, and she didn't pursue them. Others wanted to get it back for her, but she said, "I'd rather not. Why get angry?" Her father, Jia She, owed the Sun family 5,200 pieces of silver, so marrying her to the Sun family was actually paying her debts. Only one year after marriage, she was abused to death by Sun Shaozu.
8. Jia Xichun
Jia Xichun is Jia Baoyu's third sister, and Jia Xichun is Jia Zhen's sister, Miss Jia Fu. Because of her mother's early death, she has been growing up beside Jia Mu in Guo Rong Mansion. Because there is no love from my parents, I have developed a lonely and indifferent character, and my heart is cold and my mouth is cold.
When she was looking at the Grand View Garden, she gritted her teeth and drove the innocent maid away from the painting, thinking that as long as she saved herself, she would be indifferent to the tears and sorrows of others. The declining fate of the four big families and the unfortunate ending of her three sisters finally made her have the idea of leaving this world, and then ignored her family's opposition to becoming a nun.
9. Wang Xifeng
