Introduction to Shimen Township: Shimen Township is located in the northwest of Jingyuan County, bordering Pingchuan District in the east and Jingtai County in the west, 86 kilometers away from Jingyuan County. Located on both sides of the foot of Haas Mountain, with a total area of 4 14.7 square kilometers, the Yellow River flows through the territory for 46 kilometers from south to north. The ravines are deep, the ridges are everywhere, and the gullies are staggered. The highest altitude is 30 17m, the lowest altitude is 1300m, the annual precipitation is 230mm, the annual average temperature is 10.6℃, and the frost-free period is 200 days.

There is a stone head in Shangchuankou, the resident of the township government, which looks like a door, so it is called Shimenchuan. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Shimen Township Office. After liberation, Jian Zheng was the fourth area Office of Jingyuan County. Shimen commune was founded in 1958. 1963 was changed to Shimen small commune, which was under the jurisdiction of Kawaguchi District Office. 1968 resumed Shimen commune, 1983 Shimen township people's government was established during the system reform. Now it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, 64 cooperatives, 34 13 households and 17064 people, with an area of 43,592 mu of cultivated land, including 9,096 mu of water surface. Agricultural production is dominated by wheat, millet, millet, potato and minor grains.

Rich in mineral resources, gold, barite, gypsum, coal and other good grades, large reserves. There are dozens of Chinese herbal medicines such as Bupleurum, Ephedra, Motherwort, Dandelion, Scutellaria baicalensis, Platycodon grandiflorum, Saposhnikovia divaricata, mint, licorice and so on. Lambs eat herbs and drink spring water, with delicious meat, delicate texture, well-proportioned flesh and blood, smooth and tender entrance, fat but not greasy, and unique nourishing effect. Shimen is rich in turtledove fish with a long history. As early as the Ming Dynasty, it became a tribute to the royal family, and it was a delicious and tender dish. Its meat is tender and tender, and it has the functions of invigorating qi, tonifying deficiency, strengthening yang and tonifying kidney. It is a good tonic for the elderly, the weak and the sick.

Shimen is an important place on the Silk Road in ancient Han and Tang Dynasties, and Hasburg is an important post station on the Silk Road. There are Suoqiao Beacon Tower, Matai Han Tomb, Miaoshan Han Tomb, Triangle City Site and Sanguandian Ancient Buildings, all of which are listed as county-level cultural relics protection units. Haas Mountain, one of the eight scenic spots in Jingyuan, has been listed as a provincial nature reserve and a provincial forest park, which is a good place for leisure, summer vacation and tourism.
