What skills should a professional fitness instructor have?
A professional fitness instructor should have two skills:

First, professional teaching skills, including teaching demonstration skills, prompting skills, flexible use of various teaching methods and the ability to motivate students. Excellent aerobics instructors have strong standardized movements, clear routes, obvious rhythms, elegance and generosity, can play a good demonstration role, accurately grasp the demonstration position, skillfully use back demonstration, mirror demonstration and side demonstration according to the characteristics and difficulty of movements, and flexibly complete the mutual conversion between demonstrations in time, so that the whole course is continuous and smooth. Because aerobics is a kind of hand-foot coordinated movement with various movements, excellent aerobics coaches should be good at using verbal and non-verbal prompts to make students understand the actions and requirements to be done. When using nonverbal prompts, they can indicate the direction of action with clear, powerful and generous gestures, and convey the action requirements with natural and positive expressions.

Second, flexible teaching methods, according to the difficulty and characteristics of movements, different teaching methods are adopted, such as gradual method, circulation method, connection method, rhythm transformation method and so on. Exercisers can constantly practice and challenge themselves under moderate and high intensity, which partly depends on their own perseverance, and more importantly, the result of aerobics coach's encouragement to students. Good motivation makes students full of self-confidence, and also makes coaches interact with good emotional contagion. An excellent aerobics instructor can help students gain strength and courage in the incentive mechanism and make their mood even higher.
