Shenyang Institute of Physical Education, formerly known as Northeast Institute of Physical Education, was founded in 1954, which belongs to the State Sports Commission (State Sports General Administration) and was established on 200 1 with the approval of the State Sports General Administration and the Liaoning Provincial People's Government. It is one of the key institutions of sports industry in China.

The school covers an area of 1.688 mu, with a building area of 292,000 square meters, of which the ice and snow sports center covers an area of 757 mu. At present, there are 14 middle schools (departments and departments) and 2 affiliated schools. The school has established exchange relations with 57 universities and sports organizations in the United States, Britain, France and other 15 countries and regions.

The school adheres to the combination of teaching, training and scientific research, and has trained more than 50,000 sports talents at all levels. All previous students won 103 gold medals and 248 medals in three top-level events: Olympic Games, World Championships and World Cup.
