There is a good saying: the person who beats you will always be your invisible opponent. Now we are facing large-scale layoffs because of the rapid development of AI, which brings not only prosperity, but also crises and challenges, and most jobs will be replaced by robots. From the picture below, we can know who will be replaced by AI and who is difficult to be replaced by AI.
People who will not be replaced by artificial intelligence
When we think of layoffs, the first thing we think of may be non-technical jobs such as courier brother, doorman and hotel front desk. They will be laid off first, so once they are laid off, these people will bear the brunt. If you think so, you are all wet. A job like this, with low salary, requires certain communication and interaction skills and great flexibility, is simply not worth replacing the job with AI.
So what jobs will AI replace?
1. Repetitive work, especially work done in the same or very similar places, does not require a lot of face-to-face communication (such as data entry and assembly line inspection).
2. There are various interactions (such as customer service and telephone sales) with fixed desktop and conversation content.
3. Relatively simple data classification, or appraisal work that can be completed in less than one minute (such as filing files, grading homework, and screening business cards).
4. Working in a narrow field of a company (such as telephone sales of bank wealth management products, accounting in a certain department)
We can clearly see that AI has replaced some simple and repeatable tasks. Many white-collar workers think that their jobs are stable and they will not be laid off. Instead, they worry that the courier brother will lose his job, but they should worry about themselves first. These simple and repetitive tasks can be simulated by machines, and the wages of these white-collar workers are relatively low, so there is a great possibility of being replaced.
What types of jobs can't be replaced by artificial intelligence?
1. Creative work (for example, medical researchers, award-winning scriptwriters, public relations experts, entrepreneurs, artists). Artificial intelligence is not good at putting forward new concepts, so creative work AI is impossible.
2. Empathy/humanized work (such as social workers, special teachers, marriage counselors), artificial intelligence does not have human emotional intelligence. People also don't want to "trust" machines and let them handle humanized tasks.
3. Complex/strategic jobs (such as CEO, negotiator, M&A expert) need to understand many fields and make strategic decisions. For artificial intelligence, it is difficult to understand common sense.
Kai-fu Lee said: "In the future, there are only two jobs left for mankind, creative and caring. The above remarks are by no means alarmist, and cultivating these abilities is the most important thing to deal with the future. As we all know, art works need to be cultivated from an early age, and it is impossible for most of us to re-learn and master them in a short time. We can only make further progress in complex/strategic work. The core competitiveness of future talents can only develop to innovation, cooperation, communication and critical thinking. So do you think positions like PR and CEO can be replaced by AI? Obviously impossible.
If you don't want to be replaced by AI and eliminated by this society, you can only constantly improve yourself, let yourself occupy a high position, maintain a strong learning ability and constantly try new things. Accepting change, sticking to goals and continuing to grow is the right way not to be eliminated by AI.
