Zhang Zhidong Sports Park is located at No.388 Qintai Avenue, Yuehu Sub-district Office, Hanyang District, Wuhan, north of Qintai Avenue and west of Jiangcheng Avenue. It is the original Zhangzhidong Memorial Park.
On May 25, 2005, it was learned at the forum on the site selection of Zhang Zhidong Sports Park that Hanyang District of Wuhan planned to build the first intelligent sports fitness theme park in Wuhan.
It is understood that the original site of Zhangzhidong Sports Park is Zhangzhidong Memorial Park, which is located in the north of Qintai Avenue and west of Jiangcheng Avenue in Hanyang District, adjacent to Zhangzhidong and Wuhan Museum.
The project is located in the central cultural and artistic area of Qintai, with rich cultural resources, beautiful ecological environment and convenient transportation (adjacent to Yuehu Bridge and subway under construction 12 line). The project plans to build "one ring and ten districts": "one ring" is the fitness trail ring, which is a closed-loop plastic softening trail with a total length of more than 1km; The "Ten Districts" are basketball court, table tennis and badminton court, football field, fitness square, youth vitality sports area, elderly leisure area, children outdoor leisure area, leisure fishing area, water bike area and public parking area.
In the future, Hanyang District will strive to build the first intelligent sports and fitness theme park integrating sports, leisure and fitness, family experience, green ecology, cultural heritage and military culture in the center of Wuhan, effectively improve the leisure and fitness environment of the surrounding 654.38 million residents, and create a model for the comprehensive utilization of urban green space and fitness and leisure.
It is also known that the Provincial Sports Bureau will actively seek the policy support of the State Sports General Administration, vigorously support the planning and construction of Zhangzhidong Sports Park in Hanyang District, and build a model project of Hubei Sports Park.
