The south gate of Ganzhou is located in the center of the old city, at the intersection of Hongqi Avenue and wenqing road, the main road of Ganzhou, and the commercial street originates from the south gate of ancient Ganzhou Town.

Ganzhou (referred to as "Qian") is also called Qiancheng and Gannan. Ganzhou borders Sanming City and Longyan City in Fujian Province in the east; South to Meizhou City, Heyuan City and Shaoguan City in Guangdong Province; West of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province; Ji 'an and Fuzhou are in the north of Lianjiang Province in the west. Ganzhou is a prefecture-level city under Jiangxi Province.
