Sibutramine, also known as N-( 1-( 1-(4- chlorophenyl) cyclobutyl) -3- methyl butyl) -N, N- dimethylamine (molecular formula: C 17H26ClN), was once used as a diet drug because it would increase the serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risks.

Since 20 10, the State Food and Drug Administration of the United States has stopped the production, sale and use of sibutramine preparations and APIs in China, and the drugs that have been marketed have been recalled and destroyed by the manufacturers.

According to the second paragraph of Article 55 of the Civil Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the first paragraph of Article 13 of the Interpretation of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Laws in Prosecuting Public Interest Litigation Cases, the relevant organs and social organizations are invited to file a civil public interest litigation in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law within 30 days from the date of this announcement, and the relevant information will be fed back to the People's Procuratorate of Liangxi District, Wuxi City in writing.
