Relationship between coffee and all-cause death
Two large-scale studies were published in Annals of Internal Medicine on July 65438+7,2007. Research data show that coffee intake can significantly reduce all-cause mortality. This is the first time that people have studied the relationship among global coffee consumption, health and mortality, while controlling the differences in preparation.
These two studies are EPIC (European Prospective Survey of Cancer and Nutrition) and MEC (Multi-ethnic Cohort).
EPIC is a large prospective cohort study to study the relationship between coffee intake and all-cause mortality. The study included 45 1743 participants (130662 men and 32 18 1 women) from 10 European countries, with an average follow-up of 16.4 years and 4/kloc-.
In the multivariate model, the all-cause mortality of men who drink more than three cups of coffee a day is lower than that of men who don't drink coffee 12%(P
