Pomelo peel oil is rich in aromatic substances, which can extract a strong aromatic compound, mostly terpenoids, aldehydes, flavonoids and polyphenols, in which limonene is the main component and has antibacterial effect.
1. Pretreatment of raw materials: clean fresh pomelo, dry in the shade, peel and slice, remove the white sponge and pulp, and keep the yellow peel as the raw material for extracting essential oil from pomelo peel. Cut pomelo peel into strips of 0. 1cm×2cm, put them in plastic sealed bags and refrigerate at 4℃.
2. Extraction of pomelo peel essential oil and calculation of extraction rate: According to XD A method in Appendix 1 of China Pharmacopoeia (20 10 edition), accurately weigh 20g of each of the four pomelo peels, put them in a 200mL round-bottomed flask, add a proper amount of zeolite, add 120 mL distilled water, shake well, and then connect the volatile oil extractor with a reflux condenser tube for self-coagulation. Put it in an electric heating jacket and slowly heat it to boiling, then adjust the voltage to 100 V, keep it slightly boiling, and start counting for 4 hours from the boiling point (stop heating until the amount of essential oil does not increase), turn off the power supply of the electric heating jacket, cool for a while, open the piston at the lower end of the extractor, slowly release water, let it stand for a while, then open the piston to collect the essential oil in a brown collection bottle, and remove the residual moisture with anhydrous sodium sulfate to obtain the product.
