Jiayuguan's economy has developed rapidly, and people's living standards are in a leading position in the province. Per capita GDP, per capita large-caliber fiscal revenue and per capita disposable income of urban residents have ranked first in all provinces and cities for many years.
1992 was included in the first batch of 36 well-off cities in China, 1994 entered the list of 55 economic star cities in China, and 1995 ranked 64th among 84 economic star cities in China.
Since then, it has won many honors such as "National Sanitary City", "National Excellent City for Comprehensive Environmental Improvement", "China Excellent Tourist City", "National Model City with Double Support", "Non-toxic City" and "National Advanced City for Landscaping".
Jiayuguan City, located in the northwest of Gansu Province, is a prefecture-level city in Gansu Province, named after Jiayuguan, which is located at the western end of the Great Wall of Wan Li.
Jiayuguan City is adjacent to Suzhou District, Jiuquan City, an important town in Hexi, 776 kilometers away from Lanzhou, the provincial capital; West to the oil city of Yumen, Jiuquan, 650 kilometers away from Hami, Xinjiang;
It borders Qilian Mountain in the south and Sunan Yugur Autonomous County in Zhangye City. The northern pillow Montenegro is connected with Jinta County of Jiuquan City, and the middle part is the western edge of Jiuquan Oasis.
Jiayuguan is the starting point of the western end of the Great Wall in Wan Li in the Ming Dynasty, and it has become a new regional central city for the modernization of industrial tourism due to the construction of the key project "jiuquan iron and steel Company" from 65438 to 0958 in the National First Five-Year Plan.
Jiayuguan is known as "the first male pass in the world" and "the key to the frontier". Jiayuguan City is one of the four prefecture-level cities without districts in China.
