The Method of Making Coffee Animation with Vortex Map in 3DMax
Open the scene file. Coffee cups and liquids are created in the scene. Here we need to simulate the animation effect of coffee.
First, open the material editor, click the material ball, set its material as VR material, add vortex map on the diffuse reflection channel, and set the two colors as light brown and dark brown respectively, which will produce the effect of real color superposition.
Set the reflection color to white, check Fresnel reflection, the subdivision value is 15, and set a certain refraction. Let's set it to 13, and the value should not be too large, so it can have a certain light transmittance, because the concentration of coffee is relatively large.
Then we need to set the value of bump. We drag the channel behind the diffuse reflection to the channel behind the bump, and set the bump strength to 50, which produces a real bump effect.
Turn on Auto Key, drag the timeline to frame 0, set the twist to 1 in the map, drag the timeline to frame 100, and set the twist value to 20.
After setting, we can see the corresponding material animation by dragging the timeline. Let's take a look at the final renderings.
