Shanxi Jincheng Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in August 2006, 1992. /kloc-0 was established as a provincial economic development zone with the approval of Shanxi provincial people's government in March, 1997. Approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2006 10, it became one of the first provincial development zones in Shanxi Province. On March 3, 20 13, the State Council approved the upgrading of Jincheng Economic Development Zone to a national economic and technological development zone. It is named Jincheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the current national economic and technological development zone policy is implemented.

Shanxi Jincheng Economic and Technological Development Zone currently governs "one district and one park" (high-tech development zone and emerging industrial park), with an approved planning area of 9.86 square kilometers and a jurisdiction area of 23.95 square kilometers, and has jurisdiction over 14 communities. There are 57 doctors and more than 5000 talents with bachelor degree or above in the area. The Party Working Committee and the Administrative Committee of the Development Zone are the administrative agencies dispatched by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government respectively, which implement unified leadership, unified planning, unified construction and unified management of party affairs, economy and social affairs within their respective jurisdictions.
