Ningbo Institute of Technology, located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is a full-time undergraduate college and master's degree awarding unit organized by Ningbo Municipal People's Government. It is one of the first universities that the Ministry of Education has implemented the first batch of excellent engineer education and training plan 6 1. The national new engineering research and practice project and the national college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training plan project were selected into universities, and the first batch of CDIO pilot universities of the Ministry of Education.
As of February 2022, the school covers an area of 1800 mu, which is divided into Fenghua Campus, Bai Cui Campus and Hangzhou Bay Campus. There are 13 secondary teaching units, 48 undergraduate majors (including 3 Chinese-foreign cooperative education majors) and 24 first-class disciplines, with engineering as the main subject, and the coordinated development of literature, science, economics and management.
Civil engineering, computer science and technology, chemical engineering and technology were selected as national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, 1 specialty was selected as national specialty, 8 majors were selected as provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, and 4 majors were selected as provincial dominant majors. The school was founded in 1983, formerly known as Ningbo University. 1984 was listed as one of the four Sino-German cooperative universities in China by the former State Education Commission. 200 1 merged with Ningbo Communications Vocational and Technical College (to be established), still called Ningbo College. In 2004, it was upgraded and renamed Ningbo Institute of Technology.
