How to draw a sketch
Many art lovers are confused when they first come into contact with sketch and don't know how to draw. Today, I will share with you some problems that beginners will encounter when learning sketch. I believe that after reading this sharing, everyone will grow!

By the way, I recommend it to you: the collection of online art college (online teaching, all computers and mobile apps can log in to learn), which is mainly based on sketch, color, hand-drawing, hand-drawing foundation and traditional art. It is a very popular painting learning software or platform in China.

First, let's learn what sketch is. Many people only know that sketching is drawing on paper with a pencil, but the correct explanation of it is not clear. Operational definition of sketch: the artistic activity of consciously shaping the shape of objects on the screen carrier by using monochromatic painting tools and according to certain painting principles. Sketch is a variant of sketch. Sketch level is one of the important indicators to reflect the painter's spatial modeling ability. Sketch is a very important subject. Generally, they are students majoring in Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, animation and design. It is necessary to have a sketch foundation, and even schools that learn to cut hair and make up have set up sketch classes.

1. What preparations should be made for beginners to sketch?

Beginners need to prepare pencils of 2H, HB, 2B, 4B and 6B, as well as erasers and sketch paper for sketching. Then you need to buy easels and drawing boards. Together with 80 yuan, the cost of learning painting is still relatively low.

2. How to practice sketching in the early stage

After having a full set of painting tools, beginners often find some more complicated model paintings to copy, such as star sketches, still life sketches, animal sketches and so on. But because I am a beginner and have no painting experience, I may not know where to start writing with the pencil in my hand, so beginners need to contact step by step in order to learn sketch well and lay a good foundation for painting step by step.

Generally speaking, for beginners, we will let them practice arranging cables first, hold pencils like badminton rackets, and then arrange cables on the drawing board. Arranging cables requires a lot of practice, not only horizontal lines, but also vertical lines, diagonal lines and curves. It doesn't matter that the line you may draw at first is slow and tortuous. After a day of practice, you can draw beautiful lines. You can practice 1-3 days according to your own situation.

3. Practice plaster sketch.

Beginners should do a lot of plaster sketch exercises, because it is a step to understand the body structure and perspective. If possible, friends can go directly to the painting shop to buy geometric plaster, try to pick some different shapes, or buy plaster sketch books to copy directly. Geometric gypsum consists of the most basic shapes, such as cubes, cuboids, spheres, cones, cylinders and so on. We practice geometric plaster because their basic shape, structure and perspective are similar to those we practice later, whether it is painting human body, head or still life. Geometric gypsum sketch practice is about 15 class hours, and each class hour is counted as 2-3 class hours. Basic needs 15-20 gypsum sketch from different angles.

4. Practice still life sketch for a long time

After mastering the geometric plaster sketch, you can begin to draw simple still life sketches. You can also go to the painting shop to buy still life, or you can find bottles and cans, fruits and vegetables at home. If the conditions do not allow, you can buy a still life sketch book directly. When practicing still life sketch, you will find that there are obvious differences between still life sketch and plaster sketch. First of all, still life has various colors, and then its shape is very different from gypsum.

When we draw a single still life, we should think of the geometric plaster sketch we have drawn, such as the structure and perspective of the spherical plaster sketch when drawing apples; Think of cylindrical gypsum when painting wine bottles; When drawing a trumpet-shaped still life, it is associated with the sketch of conical gypsum. Still life sketch needs a lot of practice, and this process should not be hasty. You must calm down and be prepared to practice painting for a long time. In general art training classes, it may take 3-5 years for younger children to practice still life sketch, while it takes at least one year for middle school students and adults to practice still life sketch. Students in the college entrance examination training class practice for about 2 months, because they practice for more than 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.

5. Character sketch starts with "head"

After practicing still life sketch for a long time, you can start to try figure sketch. Character sketch is the most difficult in sketch, because the structure of human body is very complicated, including the bones and muscles of human body, which need to be mastered by painters. The sketch of the characters we draw is by no means to draw the external "skins and hair", but more to draw the bones and muscles wrapped in skins. Because our movements and expressions are controlled by bones and muscles, we should also combine the perspective in geometric plaster sketch and still life sketch we have learned before.

Sketching people needs a lot of practice. If you are not very talented and good at learning and summarizing, you may not be able to sketch well all your life, and you can only draw some ugly and deformed sketches. Therefore, while practicing figure sketch, we should understand and remember what the human skeleton is, what the structure is and what the proportion is. If you don't remember these things, there is probably something wrong with the proportion of the characters you draw. Beginners' pictures often show giants 3 meters high and dwarfs 1 meters high.

When practicing character sketch, you can practice it step by step. In general courses, we will practice portraits first, and then sketch bust, bust and full body after mastering sketch portraits. When you practice sketching portraits, you should first learn artistic anatomy. You can buy such books or look them up online. For example, what is the structure of a character's five senses, what is the principle of three courts and five eyes, where are some important facial muscles, and how to show them when painting? These are all very important, of course, some important bones of the head should also be considered.

6. Learn to sketch persistently.

Maybe some novices look at this and count their fingers. It seems that I have to study for three or four years before I can succeed, so I plan to give up. Bian Xiao is here to tell you that learning any skill (including hobby) requires you to sincerely love it, study it as a long-term hobby, adjust your life, and let you see your remarkable growth at every stage. Many masters of painting at home and abroad will expose their works a few years ago, which is completely different. The great gods are so persistent and grow step by step.
