Can Chinese cabbage leaves be used as organic fertilizer?
In the process of vegetable planting, it is inevitable to produce some discarded vegetable leaves, which are rich in soluble sugar, vitamins, cellulose and various mineral nutrients, and are good recyclable resources, but they also contain a variety of pathogenic microorganisms, which will increase the number of soil pathogenic microorganisms after being directly returned to the field, leading to frequent crop diseases. Vegetable leaf fermentation can not only solve the problem of vegetable leaf, but also provide high-quality organic fertilizer. The following is a step-by-step method for fermenting vegetable leaves with starter such as Tremella aurantialba organic fertilizer.

First, the leftover leaves to be fermented are crushed to a particle size of 1 ~ 2cm, and then spread on a clean cement floor to dry, so that the water content reaches 20~30%. At this time, the leaves withered, and there was no obvious overflow phenomenon when squeezed by hand. In the drying process, the pile can be rotated properly to speed up the drying process.

Secondly, the sun-dried vegetable leaves are fully mixed with dry chicken manure and dry soil, and the mixed materials are spread on the ground with a thickness of about 1-2 cm, and then diluted by probiotics such as gold is sprayed, so that the materials are wetted, and a layer of materials is covered after completion, and the diluted by probiotics such as gold is sprayed, and so on. After adding the material and bacteria liquid, turn the pile twice, so that the material and diluent of probiotics such as gold are fully mixed. After two turns, the water content of the material is 40-50% (knead by hand, and it will be loose). Diluents such as gold probiotics can be appropriately added when the water content is insufficient, and the content of dried vegetable leaves can be appropriately increased to adjust when the water content is too high.

Finally, the materials to be fermented are stacked on sand or land to make a fermentation pile with width 1 m, height 0.6 m and unlimited length, which is covered with plastic sheets to reduce water evaporation and carry out aerobic fermentation. During the fermentation process, the heap temperature is rising continuously. 1-2 days later, when the temperature reaches 50-60℃, turn over the pile, increase the ventilation and make the pile again. In the early stage, it can be turned over for 2-3 times, and then sealed with plastic sheets for anaerobic fermentation. After a period of fermentation, the fermented liquor produced the aroma of distiller's yeast and white mycelium, and the fermentation was completed. After that, it was used for planting and the effect was very obvious. This is a good thing to kill two birds with one stone.
