Press: The Yoga Sutra was written around 300 AD. Historical relics show that yoga was practiced in India in 3000 BC. Patanjali's greatness lies in his systematic arrangement of various sects prevailing at that time without prejudice, and his combination with the philosophical system of classical number theory made yoga recognized by decent Indian philosophy, thus influencing various Indian philosophies and gaining the core position of Indian civilization.

Yoga classics
The first chapter is meditation
Now, we want to explain what yoga is.
1.2 Yoga is learning to control the change of consciousness.
1.3 In this way, the perceiver can return to his true colors.
1.4 Otherwise, we agree to those changes.
1.5 There are five changes, pain and no pain:
1.6 knowledge, fallacy, fantasy, sleep, memory.
1.7 Perception, inference and witness are all knowledge.
1.8 Wrong knowledge is fallacious and does not come from reality.
Literal knowledge but no object is fantasy.
1. 10 Loss of arousal produces sleep.
What's left of those experiences is memory.
1. 12 By exercising and not clinging to things, we can control the above.
1. 13 Persistence is exercise.
After a long time, you can lay a solid foundation.
1. 15 Not being persistent means having no desire for what you see and hear.
1. 16 Because you know who you really are, you have no desire for all kinds of things in the world, which is the highest.
1. 17 The highest meditation is the perception of truth, discrimination and joy produced by the combination of the true self and the universe.
1. 18 Another kind of meditation is achieved by abandoning secular and lasting exercise, which can dispel those old habits.
1. 19 Those undifferentiated beings, without their bodies, have completely merged into the highest nature.
1.20 Others have to go through the stages of self-confidence, exertion, memory, meditation and intelligence.
1.2 1 Some people have a strong will and will soon enter a state of meditation.
1.22 Exercise from mild to intense has the best effect.
1.23 This can also be achieved by obeying God.
1.24 The spirit of God is not influenced by any nature or behavior.
1.25 He is the source of all knowledge.
1.26 He is an ancient man, so he is today's mentor.
1.27 His symbol is the sacred voice (AUM).
1.28 This sound needs to be memorized frequently to succeed.
1.29 from which we can reach the consciousness of the universe and make everything barrier-free.
1.30 Illness, laziness, hesitation, weakness, materialism, fallacy, inattention and instability are all obstacles to distraction.
1.3 1 In addition, there are anxiety, nervousness and uneven breathing.
1.32 Yoga can overcome all this.
1.33 A peaceful mind comes from friendship, kindness, joy and equality. If we treat happiness and pain equally, whether they are worthy or not, we can purify our consciousness.
1.34 controlling breathing can also overcome all this.
1.35 subtle perception produces the highest change of consciousness and calms the mind.
1.36 This is due to the transcendental and inner light.
1.37 also controls desire because of consciousness.
1.38 is also because of the knowledge of dreams and sleep.
1.39 is also due to meditation exercise.
1.40 This combination can dominate from small to atomic to infinite.
1.4 1 The real perception is that the perceiver, perception ability and perceived person are completely transparent.
1.42 Perceptron can visualize objects like flawless gems.
1.43 True knowledge can visualize objects.
1.44 At the same time, the thinking is transformed, which purifies the memory and makes the object appear without thinking.
1.45 Indiscriminate presentation of fine objects.
1.46 above is called seeded meditation.
1.47 But if you reach the inseparable meditation, the true self will appear.
1.48 Wisdom and truth are integrated.
1.49 This is quite different from the reasoning of words.
1.50 This meditation state will go beyond the previous thinking habits.
Once this control is achieved, seedless meditation is achieved.
Chapter II Practical Exercise
2. 1 Yoga is to exercise self-discipline physically, learn classics and obey God.
2.2 The purpose is to promote meditation and eliminate the root causes of obstacles.
2.3 Ignorance, persistence, infatuation, rejection and greed are the five major obstacles in life.
2.4 Ignorance is the hotbed of the rest, whether it is sleeping, slight, hindering or intense.
2.5 Ignorance regards those things that are not eternal, impure, painful and untrue to me as eternal, pure, pleasant and true to me.
2.6 Self is the ability of the perceiver to identify himself with perception.
2.7 Infatuation is the pursuit of desire.
2.8 Refusal is living in pain.
2.9 Greed still exists among knowledgeable people, and it will help itself.
2. 10 When these obstacles are still in a subtle stage, you can do the opposite to eliminate them.
2. 1 1 If it is formed, it can be eliminated through meditation.
2. 12 those obstacles come from the past industries and work at the boundary between the visible and the invisible.
2. 13 Once it takes root and sprouts, it will affect the situation of life, the length of life and various experiences.
2. 14 Because of the difference between doing good and doing evil, there are happy fruits and bitter fruits respectively.
2. 15 For a smart person, everything is bitter. Because everything is changing, things become their opposites.
2. 16 Future pain can be avoided.
2. 17 The reason for the pain is that the perceiver identifies with the perceived.
2. 18 There are all kinds of things and perceptions in this world to free us from this universe.
2. 19 Nature has four characteristics: specificity, non-specificity, differentiation and undifferentiation.
2.20 The perceiver only perceives himself. Although pure, he still sees things through thinking, and the ego makes him agree with this thinking.
2.2 1 This epistemological nature is for the benefit of the perceiver.
2.22 Although these things will be destroyed for the awakened people, they still exist for others.
2.23 When the perceiver meets the perceived, the world comes into being.
2.24 Ignorance is its reason.
2.25 If there is no ignorance, the perceiver will be free when he meets the perceived.
2.26 Eliminating ignorance depends on constant discrimination.
2.27 There are seven stages of intelligence, which are displayed in turn with the growth of knowledge.
2.28 Through yoga exercise, those impurities will be removed by the light of knowledge, giving birth to discerning intelligence.
2.29 Discipline, diligence, physical adjustment, pranayama, concentration, meditation and samadhi are the eight branches of yoga.
2.30 Non-violence, no lying, no stealing, no indulgence and no greed.
2.3 1 this is an unbreakable oath, no matter when, where, under what circumstances, and what class it belongs to.
2.32 Internal and external cleanliness, satisfaction, control of body and senses, study of classics and obedience to God are all diligence.
2.33 If you have the idea of opposing yoga, use the opposite to fight it.
2.34 The instinct of destruction is a harmful thought. Whether you do it yourself, lead the students, or agree. If greed, anger and confusion become motives, whether gentle or violent, they will bring endless pain and ignorance, so we should develop the opposite.
2.35 As long as non-violence is established, hostility will be eliminated.
2.36 If you don't lie, you can enjoy the reward of your work.
2.37 If you don't steal, you can enjoy wealth.
2.38 If you don't indulge your lust, you can enjoy spiritual strength.
2.39 If you don't covet, you can get the knowledge of life.
2.40 Cleanliness protects the body from infection caused by contact with others.
2.4 1 mental cleansing produces sensory awakening and control.
2.42 Satisfaction produces the greatest happiness.
2.43 The perfection of body and senses comes from keeping precepts and eliminating those impurities.
2.44 From continuous learning to integration with heaven.
2.45 Samadhi is produced by the unity of attention and God.
2.46 posture must be stable and comfortable.
2.47 Control anxiety and meditate infinitely, which can be done.
2.48 In this way, there will be no double sexual harassment.
2.49 After mastering the posture, you should control your breathing.
2.50 Controlling inhalation and exhalation is pranayama. Outside, inside, or even not moving, we should adjust according to time, place and times, and breathe thin and long.
2.5 1 the fourth thing is that breathing is neither external nor internal.
2.52 Then remove the light shield.
2.53 This makes the spirit suitable for meditation.
2.54 If the spirit is divorced from perception and perception is not mixed with senses, attention will be integrated with oneself.
2.55 Therefore, the highest control of the senses is achieved.
Chapter III The Power of Meditation
3. 1 concentration is to put consciousness on one thing.
3.2 Focus is the continuous perception of weekly traffic.
3.3 Samadhi is only the object of meditation, and the perception of itself disappears.
3.4 These three forms of meditation.
3.5 By mastering meditation, you can gain the light of wisdom.
3.6 This mastery goes through different stages.
3.7 These three aspects are more internal than those discussed above.
3.8 But even these three kinds are not within the scope of nuclear-free.
3.9 Control state is an activity controlled by mental contact, so as to reduce those habits.
3. 10 This cycle is stabilized through constant practice.
3. 1 1 When the mind is fixed on one thing, the interest in other things will decrease, and then concentration can be achieved.
3. 12 In this realm, the past and the future are the same.
3. 13 This sensory change transcends the principle and essence of things.
3. 14 The essence of things is three principles: past, present and future.
3. 15 evolution is formed by the continuous transformation of these three principles.
3. 16 Meditate on these three changes, and you can get the knowledge of the past and the future.
3. 17 The knowledge of common sentences and meanings is rather confusing. Through meditation, you can learn all about biological sounds.
3. 18 Meditate on past habits, and you can learn the knowledge of past lives.
3. 19 Meditate on other people's bodies, and you can know other people's thoughts.
3.20 I don't know the content of an idea, but I know its internal state.
3.2 1 Meditate on the shape of the body, the perception of the shape is blocked, the appearance of the eyes is separated, and the body of the practitioner cannot be seen.
3.22 The consequences of behavior are fast and slow, and the time of death is known from internal control.
3.23 Meditation on different forces, such as the power of an elephant, produces the power of an elephant.
Meditate on the inner light, and you will gain subtle and distant knowledge.
Meditate on the sun and you will gain knowledge of the world.
Meditate on the moon, and you will gain knowledge of planets.
3.27 Meditate on the starry sky, and you will get the knowledge of starry sky movement.
3.28 Meditate and turn the navel, and you will get the knowledge of body operation.
3.29 Throat meditation can quench hunger and thirst.
3.30 Meditation on the tube in the chest can stabilize the body.
3.3 1 Meditate on the light above your head, and you will have super vision.
3.32 Due to the power of intuition, all knowledge is produced.
3.33 Meditation can gain knowledge about consciousness.
3.34 Happiness comes from the difference between soul and intelligence. Through meditation on the true self, you will gain the knowledge of the true self.
3.35 Thus, the extra sensory perception of hearing, sight, taste and smell can be realized.
3.36 These forces are obstacles to samadhi.
3.37 When we know the reason why attention is bound, the consciousness of the yogi can enter another person's body.
3.38 By controlling this spiritual power, yogis can walk on water without being stabbed by thorns. He can overcome death.
3.39 By controlling the life energy, the body emits light.
3.40 Meditate on the ether and hearing, and you will hear the sounds of nature.
3.4 1 Meditate on the relationship between the ether and the body, and the body of the yogi will become very light and can fly in the air.
3.42 If you meditate on your mind, you can leave your body, and then ignorance will be removed.
3.43 Meditation on the subtlety, physical form, state and function of matter can control matter.
3.44 This can make the body extremely small, extremely large and indestructible.
3.45 This body becomes beautiful, powerful and strong.
3.46 By meditating on the vitality, nature and function of the organs, we can control these senses.
3.47 In this way, the body can move as fast as thought, control the extrasensory senses and control the elements of nature.
3.48 By meditating on the relationship between true self and life energy, we can become omnipotent and omniscient.
3.49 By destroying the seeds of bondage without desire or desire, you can get rid of all bondage and be free.
3.50 A yogi should not be proud of these spiritual powers, because it will hinder him and cause him to fall.
3.5 1 before and after the exercise in meditation time, you can gain discerning knowledge.
3.52 This kind of meditation can distinguish two very similar things, even though their characteristics and status are the same.
3.53 think intuitive knowledge can know everything and its essence.
3.54 If I really become as pure as life energy, I will achieve perfection and freedom.
Chapter IV Free of charge.
4. 1 supernatural power can be obtained from past lives, through drugs, through chanting, through meditation.
4.2 The transformation of life from low level to high level is due to the creativity of nature.
4.3 Behavior, whether good or bad, will not directly lead to transformation, but only remove the obstacles of natural forces, just like a farmer can plow and irrigate the fields just by removing stones.
4.4 Consciousness can be generated by the power of the true self.
4.5 Primitive consciousness still controls those created consciousness.
4.6 Only those who reach Samadhi can be freed from their desires and become the highest.
4.7 The yogi's behavior is black and white. But for others, it is the following three kinds: black, white and a mixture of the two.
4.8 From these three aspects, the corresponding results are shown.
4.9 Even if there are barriers of time, space and species, those results can be lasting because of memory and habits.
4. 10 The pursuit of happiness is eternal, while desires and habits have no beginning.
4. 1 1 It is caused by cause, effect, branch and thing, without which it would not exist.
4. 12 The past and the future exist according to their forms and principles.
4. 13 They are either hidden or explicit, according to their characteristics.
4. 14 Everything is integrated, because this is the evolution of the whole.
4. 15 The object is the same, but the consciousness is different.
4. 16 The knowability or unknowability of things depends on whether they can be recognized by the mind.
4. 17 The knowability or unknowability of things depends on the state of mind adjustment.
4. 18 The adjustment of consciousness is always known to the perceiver, because the eternal spirit is unchanged.
4. 19 Those minds can't illuminate themselves because they are regarded as objects.
4.20 The perceiver and the object cannot be perceived at the same time.
4.2 1 consciousness is recognized by another consciousness, which leads to infinite retrogression and confusion.
4.22 When the mind becomes a higher form of spiritual body, it can perceive higher consciousness.
4.23 In all perception, perception is colored by the perceiver.
4.24 The mind is regulated by the desire to work for the highest, because of its mixed nature.
4.25 For those discerning perceptors, their true selves are separated from their thinking.
4.26 Freedom can be achieved through differentiated consciousness.
4.27 Sometimes thinking comes from past habits.
4.28 As mentioned above, removing these habits means removing obstacles.
4.29 Those realms that achieve complete discrimination and completely abandon all kinds of desires are called Samadhi.
4.30 By this time, all sufferings can be eliminated, all kinds of causal obstacles can be eliminated, and freedom can be realized.
4.3 1 Knowledge becomes infinite without any cover, and the role of the senses becomes very small.
4.32 When their goals are achieved, the evolution of the three states stops.
4.33 At the end of evolution, it became an obvious transformation.
4.34 When all three states have achieved their goals, they have reached a comfortable state and learned all the knowledge. This is absolute freedom.
