1949 August 18 was registered under the name of Adidas. Adidas was originally founded by two brothers. After parting ways, Adolf's brother Rudolf Dassler opened the sports brand Puma.

Adolf Dassler (1900- 1978) was born in Herzner. As the brand founder of Adidas, Dassler is not only a shoemaker, but also an obsessed amateur track and field athlete. He started his business from 1926, when his family opened a factory specializing in light running shoes and football shoes.
1948 Due to the family conflict between the Dassler brothers, Dassler Company split in two. One of the companies named Puma belongs to Adidas' brother, and the other is now Adidas.
