How to prepare tilapia feed?
Tilapia is the most widely cultivated omnivorous fish in the world after carp. FAO has recommended it to all countries in the world as an important source of protein food for human animals. Tilapia is also an omnivorous fish. In natural waters, they feed on zooplankton, phytoplankton, benthos, aquatic insects, fish and shrimp larvae, and sometimes they also eat various duckweeds, algae and aquatic plants.

Under artificial feeding conditions, they also like to eat rice bran, bran, bean cake, vegetable cake, barley and compound feed. It has a strong digestive ability and can use some other kinds of plants and animals that cannot be used. The nutritional requirement of tilapia for feed protein from fry to adult fish is 28% ~ 38%, and it is generally believed that it is 28% ~ 30% to cultivate edible fish from fish species. The requirement of fat is 7% ~ 10%, the suitable range of carbohydrate is 30% ~ 40%, the suitable range of crude fiber is 5% ~ 20%, and the most suitable is 14%. There is not much research data on vitamin requirements, because it can get vitamins by eating algae. It is generally believed that vitamin supplementation is unnecessary.

Requirements for minerals: 0.8% ~ 1.0% phosphorus, 800 mg/kg magnesium, 0/50 mg/kg iron, 0/2 mg/kg manganese, 0/0 mg/kg zinc and 3 ~ 4 mg/kg copper. The crude protein requirement of tilapia is between carp and herbivorous fish. In addition, it has high utilization rate of carbohydrates, strong tolerance to crude fiber, higher requirements for inorganic salts, especially phosphorus, and lower requirements for vitamins. Therefore, according to these characteristics and the situation of feed sources in various places, compound feed can be produced by soft granulator or hard granulator.

The formula of tilapia feed is introduced as follows:

Formula 1 (%) fish meal 15, bean cake 35, bran 30, corn 5, Sophora japonica leaf 5, barley 8.5, auxin 1 and salt 0.5. Crude protein 3 1.6, feed coefficient 2.03.

Formula 2 (%) fish meal 5- 10, bean cake 35-40, secondary flour 15, bran 25, corn residue 10, bentonite 2, mineral additive 2, compound vitamin 1, methionine 0.2 and lysine 0.3. The feed crude protein is 29.4, and the feed coefficient is 2.2.

Formula 3 (%) fish meal 10, bean cake 50, wheat bran 40, vitamins 1.0, bone meal 1.0, carboxymethyl cellulose 1.0. The feed protein was 34. 1, and the feed coefficient was 1.7 ~ 2. 1.

Formula 4 (%) fish meal 8, bean cake 5, sesame cake 35, rice bran 30, corn flour 8, wheat bran 12 and mineral additive 2. Feed protein 27.9, feed coefficient 2.4.

Formula 5 (%) fish meal 10, bean cake 25, wheat bran 65, methionine 0.3, mixed salt additive10, multivitamin 0.02. Feed protein 25.5, feed coefficient 1.8.
